Diadem string reviews

Nice! Do you have a utr?
I have a singles UTR of 5.34 but it's not very accurate because I don't play a lot of matches that affect that rating. I play a lot more doubles. And the singles I do play is with a college buddy of mine. Him and I are going to be playing soon so I may post a video of that and you can see how I play. I'm excited about the strings though.

OK, I just strung up all four of my head boom MP rackets, each with solstice power 1.20, solstice power black 1.20, pro – X 1.20, Solstice power 1.20 in a hybrid with evolution 1.30. All are strung at 50 pounds. I'm about to hit indoors and I will give an initial review tonight

Ok, so here are some initial thoughts.

I liked pro – X and solstice black the best. Both of them had tons of spin to keep my balls in play but also had power to give me some easy depth. They both had good ball pocket and good feel and weren't too stiff. The regular solstice power felt decent but it felt a little bit too stiff and boardy compared to pro-X and solstice black. The hybrid of solstice power and evolution felt a little bit too tight, and maybe that was because evolution was in a thicker gauge but the Racquet also felt a little heavier and I think that was because of the thicker gauge as well. It definitely had the most power out of the group but not as much spin to keep the ball and play. I think when I restring these I might bump up the tension just a few pounds to get a tad bit more control but with the extra power my balls were very heavy kicking high off the baseline.

Thanks for the thoughts on these strings! Keep updating on durability, restrings etc.
I'm hopefully gonna play some singles matches this week so I can see about the durability. I'm also gonna be trying some other gauges and some other rackets as well. The strings definitely might have been a tad too powerful at times when I wasn't putting a lot of top spin so I'm curious how long the playability last and whether or not the tension drops too low to where it's all together to powerful.

Ok, guys so I've played a couple singles matches in the past week or so with some of the diadem string. Here are some links to some of the videos. In the first match, I am using Diadem pro X 16 @65 lbs. and in the other match I am using diadem solstice power 16 @ 68lbs.

Today I learned a few pounds is 15-18.

Sorry if my posts were a little bit confusing but when I mentioned to bump up the tension a few pounds that was about the strings in my head boom mp. I always string my gamma RZR Bubba 137, normally @65 lbs. and I used the gamma Racquet in these videos

I have been hitting with a full bed of Diadem Solstice Black 16G at 53/48 for about a year or so in my Prince Ripstick 305 16x18s. I really enjoy gut/poly hybrids but they were not well suited for this stick.

Solstice Black is a nice comfortable poly and I like how it performs and it certainly can produce plenty of spin when used appropriately.

My only knock is I only get 1 hit out of it before the tension drops so far I have to restring it. I string my own racquets so I don't mind that I have to do that but I caution those that don't that this is an issue.

I actually don't mind the tension loss cause I can control the power with more spin. Have you ever tried stringing it tighter to where the tension loss sets in at the tension you like. Or maybe pre-stretch if you can?

I really don't believe in the theory of stringing higher to drop to a target as maybe the tension drops to where you want it but in doing so the elasticity has jumped ship too and there is no getting that back.

Likewise, not fan of pre stretching poly for the same reason.

I guess before I did that I would switch to VCT as it holds tension better. I just think solstice black plays a bit deader than VCT for me and in this racquet I like it.

Is this the new Boom MP with Auxetic 2.0?
Mind sharing your feedback with the Boom as reference?

I know you updated some observations but I saw those videos are all played with the Aero.

I enjoy playing full-bed Solstice Power 17 on my Wilson Burn LS (beefed up with lead tape). Like many others I struggled to find suitable strings for this stick because the pretty weird 18x16 string pattern is killing strings rapidly and tends to render the sweetspot undesirably smallish. In fact, I was already on the verge of giving up on the Burn and to look for something else. Solstice Power 17 (at 21 kp mains/22 kp crosses) turned out be a great solution. Initially a bit stiff it opened up nicely after about 2 hrs of play. The gain in power over time just added to the increasingly more comfortable feel. Importantly, it gained power only up to a point and didn´t turn into a trampoline. As it is, it already lasts longer than anything else I tried. Highly recommended!

Edit: deleted my post, LOL didn't read the thread correctly. didnt mean to steal the thunder.
BUT will say favorite string is Diadem Flash- if you like a traditional round poly ;) won't say anymore
and second is Solstice Power

I've been using Diadem Evolution for crosses for the last 6 months or so, it feels really good

Which one are you? The one with the oversize racquet?
