I had those yellow DRs as well as the blue ones. They were great frames. Best feeling Yonex frames I've used. Good power but also flexed in all the right places.
Exited to hit some balls. Does the DR98 not have as much muted feel as 22 ez98? Trying to decide what strings to roll with

Naw the DR98 is definitely crisper. Hard to go wrong with strings in those tbh.
Interesting. I had the opposite experience when i had my new ones not too long ago, but i'm not a fan of them like most here. Found the dr to be too mushy and vague. Also something with the way it's balanced is a bit off for me. Found the 2022 to be better, but i'd probably be in the minority

I’ve been playing with the ‘22 as my main for a year, never have hit a DR. It will be interesting to compare! Then I suppose I’ll “have” to get a Regna :D

Isn't it funny how sometimes you can't sell a single racket for months and then you sell four rackets in four days. I lost quite a few $ on all of them but during this time of year rackets always seem difficult to sell here so whatever.
Blade 98 Noir, Blade 100, a VC95 and a Prestige MP-L are loaned out to a few friends now for testing, so hopefully I'll sell some of those too.

Sorry if I missed some posts, what do you guys think about Prestige 2.0 lineups?

1. Which one is a good easier and more modern "all court with emphasis of serve volley" racket?

2. Is MP-L the better Prestige than MP?

3. What is the Tour main difference to 6.1 95?

I played with Blade Pro 18 but want to get 2nd racket for doubles and for when I'm tired. All these times I use my Regna 100 (after EZ Tour) but I want a more predictable control racket.

Any string recommendations for SHREK?
By the way, I found PK base grips to be 5g heavier than most others. When I add leather to their sticks, I end up at only 5g more than their usual weight, which is cool!
I now have SHREK at 331g with a leather grip, which is really good.

Always wanted to try one... but never did (possibly due to the colour).

Keen to hear your thoughts and experiences.

Anyone have strong opinions on the radical pro? Itching with this head 30% deal going on…
There's a very favourable new review by Gladiators, published earlier today, and an older one by MP Tennis. Super stable, great for all kind of blocking and counterpunching, returns, volleys, and more normal power levels, previous was underpowered, although it's still a control frame for placing the ball around, for all kinds of trajectories, not really a power/attacking frame. Still stiff feel, not exactly brassy and with a metallic ping like the previous, but not far away. But it's that stiffness in the throat and shoulders that gives it that superb stability. Not a fan of the look though, way too fluo/neon/flashy for my taste

Stiff like crisp or stiff like metallic?

Played with the cx200 tour and fx500 Tour today. The difference in power was pretty easily apparent. I didnt even need to ask my opponent to know the FX balls were getting on him faster and kicking up higher. The CX has better feel, touch, and control but requires me to do a lot more of the work. The FX is a bit of a learning curve for me as I have to remember I cant hit flat like Im normally apt to do. Once I started focusing on met clearance and swing at about 70% of what I was putting in to the CX is when it really shined and I was putting my opponent on the defensive. I think the FX has the higher ceiling for me so I really just need to commit to it so I can learn how it does with more nuanced shots.

Speaking of string sensitive, I think the FX500 tour may lean a bit that way. I originally had KB Evo in and it and liked that a lot. I tried Confidential in the frame but cut that out the next day. It felt very underpowered with the Confidential. I strung one up with Hit Pro and another with Tour Hex for todays matchup. Hit Pro felt a little too powerful but Tour hex felt pretty good in it. Ill let them break in a bit and see if I still feel that way. its looking like I need something thats in the middle when it comes to power.

Don't find mine particularly string sensitive tbh, I've had poly at mid 40s tension (Tier One Black Knight works nicely), multi (Head Velocity) and my go to which is always gut/poly in 18x20 frames. All play fine.
Thanks! Have you ever tried the PT2.0? Or something similar? How does this compare for you?
I always wanted to try gut/poly. Maybe it is time...

does anyone of you holics have experience with the meddy tec frame (iso 305)? Specs look really intriguing, tempted to find one to play around with.

Do you know if the stiffness is in the shoulders, the upper hoop, the throat?
Everywhere, it's solid and stable all over. But if you compare it to other racquets, you feel that these last 3 Rad Pros have a lot of stability in the throat and shoulders, just like RF97A, or many other Pro Staffs, or Aero VS

I will try one this Friday. I don't think it has much changed since the last one. Very high sw on the demo, at least 345 strung.
But it feels good swinging.
Also SHREK will be ready to rumble on Friday as well. I am really looking forward to trying the green monster.
@Classic-TXP-IG MID the paint job actually looks good (of course, subjective) in real life. It feels much more like a tennis racquet than the Top Banana, which felt like a toy in comparison.
Edit: specs will be right up your alley @Classic-TXP-IG MID !

That's unstrung, correct?

I'm being tempted now by the racquet gods to pick up a Gravity Pro for 30% off...of course I don't need it, but always have been curious...

Oh come on WTF, the 30% sale is done already? I was just about to buy a Boom Pro; it was in my cart last night at 30% off, and now it's back to regular. Still discounted of course (get rid of outgoing models) but no more added 30%. Just went from $90 back up to $130 overnight.

Looking further, it seems only the Boom is gone from 30%. Gravity and Extreme are still -30%.

I present, the Roadcone ensemble. 3x TGT 351.1s, 1x ADV bag, 1x Under Armor Hoodie.

Have Hit Pro, Black Knight 1.23, and Diadem ProX 1.20 in the TGTs. They are wickedly dangerous rackets for me. They are 310g with silicone, and are 335g out the door. Very polarized. Can change direction at will and the pendulum effort let's me uncork some awesome serves.

Looks like my fence except most courts have wind screens. And the code on my two is tma 27.25.338.335.13.8.

The new rad pro is on the way too with the 30% off in the same box as boom pro for 90 bucks. Funny, I ordered on Saturday before all the hype on both. They show up tomorrow. I’m in no rush for them to get here as I’m full timing the 2019 S(e)X’s. The sex’s are so stable and plush, and silly plow at 338-340 SW.

Both Heads have specs that will work for my mod plans though. I’m a big rad fan, def my favorite stringbed style and almost identical to the sex’s.

Holy shirt - the TC90 keeps answering the call with flying colors. I really can't get over the feel - it's so crunchy and crispy at that high stiffness, but then it feels kind of plush too. And, while powerful, it is not too powerful. Best serving stick I've ever hit with, hands down. Damn.
How long do your strings last in the 90? I found it to be eating strings.

Is it normal for swing weight to fluctuate on the same exact frame, Babolat machine
depends how much you’re talking about, but sure. sources of variation are 1. calibration, fan or some air movement, mounting error, overgrip extending a mil or so, lack of use and spring ‘heat up’ , poor release of racket (bumps your thumb or something and you don’t really notice)…..

So far so good. I mean, I only have about 14 hours of play on them, but haven't broken strings yet. By this point, with the same setup in PSVS, I would have broken the strings I have in there (Cyclone 19/Gtour3). You hit bigger than I do, so that's a factor as well.
