I have an LMRadMP and I love it. But, it almost belongs too much to the past era of frames. What are the specs on the YT Rad?

The old Prestige Mids are super stable even at 320 SW. I think it is because all the graphite is in such a small place. Those racquets just feel soooo solid, so one, I don't know how to put it, but it is special. Nothing you can find in modern racquets, which feel so spread out with the light weight and bigger headsizes and thicker beams.
I still consider the PC2.0 my main frame. I’m addicted to the feel, but like you said the frame swings so quickly. It’s easy to forget it’s so heavy because the balance really makes it easier on the arm.
Oh how the racquets have swung. Crazy high SW = high 330s. Was it not that long ago that we were talking about beefy BPs with SW in the 340s or higher? Have we really entered an era where we are all chasing SW in the 320s?
It came in quite light at 310 g and a SW of 317. I added a leather grip and about 5-6 g of lead to the hoop to get it to 322g and a SW of 326. Unfortunately the balance is only around 3pts HL which is less than I'm used to but I don't want to add too much weight to the handle if I can manage without it.
That’s cool. But even back then this racquet swing heavy. Go try one and let us know if I’m wrong. It may have even been in the 340s. It was not a 330 sw.
I couldnt remember, but I thought the unstrung SW on the old RPs was in the 330s meaning it would be 345-350ish strung. So, undoubtedly beefy.

I second that! I played a couple more sets this morning and there was more joy to be had. I've got it strung with a full bed of Gosen OG syngut (18g), and the feel is just phenomenal. The downside is sure to reveal itself soon, but it remained in hiding once again - and I rolled to a fairly straightforward 3 and 3 victory, which is fairly typical for me against this guy.
Glad I ended up missing that hype train. Sheesh.

I wish they had pressed him on which top 20 players he thinks were playing with "unscientific" setups. Who do we think is playing with the wrong racquet at the top of the game? Rublev? Everyone?
I found it too cumbersome as well. However, my kick serve had some crazy spin on it. Not a bad frame but it has no wow factor.
I've tried both the o3 and non-o3.

First impression is it's pretty similar to the EP 2024, a little more feel and precision, less power and forgiveness. I think it lacks some plow compared to the 2024 and can use more lead at 12 than my usual setup.
So i wanted to update. i have had 2 outings with the p98.. its a really nice frame.. it does as advertised. the feel is nice.. doesnt feel cheap or hollow. launch angle is low but that is expected with most 98's but the dip on the ball is prominent so you can just rely on that to bring your forehands down if you are able to use spin effectively. i think its as good or better than the 23 aero. very very similar. even the grip shape mimics babs grip here. it doesnt have a wilson feeling grip to me. but its slightly narrower than the babs grip. nice grip. not complaining. very maneuverable. whippy. doesn everything well .. im gen not a 98 user.. but this is among the best of the 98's out there. i do love the dunlop fx 500. i dont know if i put them up against eachother which one i would prefer. but either way that is the biggest compliment i could give this frame. the fx and the 23 pa 98. not sure which one would win out. im guessing maybe the p98. its very nice. but again im not typ a 98 user. so i would need to get the 100 to see whats up. but yesterday after using the p98 for a while .. i went back to one of my go to 100. the ultra 100 with some added weight to the handle. and the confidence i get with that frame outshone the p98 right away. the ultra 100 is by the way a gem. prob the most underrated frame on the market. i can arc the ball on my forehand or serve at will and create depth or angles that i just cant with other frames. thats one of those frames that will give you that nadal esque feel on your fh if you hit with spin. anyway. so thats it for the p98. i would need to get the 100 to see if it can compare to my other 100's. but overall. wilson did a great job. (poor job on the name which is just juvenile, and the color which swings towards orange/red .. which i dislike. so damn wilson . you messed up the name and color). anyway. ill get the 100 demo at some point and report back.

Agreed - mine was 318 strung sw, and I felt it needed a little more and bumped it to 323 with lead at 10 and 2, but I might take a little out and put it at 12 for my next hit. Played with my 5.0+ head pro this morning and the frame had plenty of mass to keep up with him. Any more sw than that and I start to lose what makes the racquet special in terms of maneuverability and whippiness especially on kick/spin serves
Does anyone else in here purposefully not want to know the swing weight of their sticks? Static weight, balance, trial & error is all that I need. I have found going based of vibes and feels or empirical evidence is much more important. instead knowing the exact numerical measurement (that doesn’t help you win any points during a match)
I'm kinda the same. I go off feel for the most part based on what I know I like. Specs might create paralysis cause you might start second guessing everything.
I love having access to it and I think it is pretty helpful for making two of the same frame that aren't perfect matches actually feel the same. That said, I think I could live without it. It's pretty easy to go by feel after a while, and ultimately, that matters more in the end than the numbers.
No no. I was right. Redline flirting is over for me. Played last night, and I even won last night, but found myself too far away from the ball and what I like to feel. I've found that the drop off in feel for these frames is wild. Fresh beds, first hours, great. Just crisp enough. Once the string loses a bit freshness, it's like I'm hitting with a different frame, way more gummy and muted and a little springy. If you string yourself and can keep the beds fresh and crisp it can work but since I don't I want my beds to last a bit more even, longer. Feel, man. It gets me every time. Back to old Heads for me. The Defiler 100 is a serving wonder, but it isn't worth it for me.
