They are, compared to my usual frames. I expected the worst when I bought it. Luckily They really do get magnified a lot in the pics and arent as noticeable in person. Not sure how bad a stringer you have to be to make those marks. If not for those, the frame would be a 9/10. Luckily its purely cosmetic And doesnt affect performance. If i get rid of the v7s ill probably hang on to the v5.

i am jelly of that Wise of yours. Im only doing good in 1 of my FF leagues this year so my chances of winning money will be dependent on how I do there.
That was my first thought too. But looking at the locations, there are no explanations for a stringer doing that kind of damage. It almost looks like someone was pulling lead tape off with a pocket knife or something.

I do love the Wise. It's so nice and it makes the stringbed more consistent. Also, with the increased stringing volume that I'm handling now, it seems to make things go smoother. Looking back though, I do wish that I had been able to get the Apex Speed for the upgraded clamps and gravity bases. I'm still eyeballing the tourna 700-ES too if the program keeps growing.

@tim-ay BK in the 7G is bananas. Wait. What I'm saying is, it's awesome.

Tour Status is super interesting. Kind of freaks me out. It's a black string that plays like something silver. Crispy, borderline metallic. Hit great with it. Seems to have a lower trajectory than BK, and I think BK is better, but this is a first impression, we'll see how she breaks in.

The hallowed H19 is overrated. UT better.

That's all I got, folks. I believe I'm supposed to take some pills now.
That's so accurate I wish I had come up with it. It also has a super short break-in period, 30ish minutes. I'll be watching for your further impressions but I'm believing more and more that this is a string that just got slept on because Black Knight got better marketing.

I just received the following PM:

I'll pay you $1,000 for both Regnas if you sell to me instead

Im not sure if this person is serious or not but it doesnt matter either way. Its bad juju to go back on a deal because someone else offered you more money.

Sounds like a Nigerian Prince scam. He’ll pay you $1000 and ask you to send him back the difference. Lol

Another good data point just in time; my 5 packs of tour status showed up yesterday. I’m going to get through matches this weekend, then try it in something. I’m not sure it will be in a TB as BK just fits that frame so well…. And as you’ve noticed BK fits the G thang’ exceptionally well also. But a silver feeling black string? This sounds really great, maybe a competitor to tour sniper in more tweener frames.

Yeah I want to check it out some more, side by side, but just at a certain comfort level with BK so I lean there initially. I'd probably go a pound less with the Status, too. But all of this may go by the wayside, it was just one hit so we'll see.

@TierOneSportsOfficial Hearing Tour Status 1.25 plays crisper than BK 1.23. I presume that means it is stiffer too? Inquiring minds with PK rackets and sensitive elbow PTSD would like to know.

Feels crisper and stiffer to me for sure. If you're happy with BK and have any arm issues, I'd probably just avoid TS - but I don't know the actual numbers of course.

SOZs ready to go. They came in 1.1g apart, 1mm balance difference and 3pts SW. The red is the 62RA and of course yellow is the 70RA. Hopefully will get an indoor hit tomorrow and a very even compare with BK @51lbs.

Nice one. Seems to have good QC.
The rubber band looks to be off towards the left in the red one.

First hit with the Rad MP was definitely enjoyable. The swing feel gave vibes of the YY 100 frames which makes me wonder if this one has the close static weight/SW mojo going for it.

I found it to be whippy, plowy, maneuverable, stable, plush, and pockety even. Good control and good pop. A seriously good frame.

Might we see you defecting from Yonex to Head?

i can use the rad mp and the viet cong 100 interchangeably. havent quite figured out how, but i think its related to SW and power levels

Far too early to tell and it won't be truly comparable until I've hit it with Tour Status. With the Lynx Tour, it lacks some of the directness and clarity of response that I have with the VC95.

I also feel like it's a little lighter than I would like it to be. Lead will likely be added to see about coaxing a different expression out of it.

But if I wanted a more forgiving frame, I'd pick up a VC100 again.

Da GF read this and quipped "Yes, she does everything well. But can she cook and will you take her home to see your parents?" She further states that Baseball fans don't seem to obsessed with equipment than male golfers and tennis players. SMH.

Lead same way on both but yes asymmetric as you said. It simply allows same amount of lead to be spread over a greater area. I just balance it on other side of the racquet but opposite side of the string. I like the feel/response more this way.

got it. I didn’t see the lead on the opposite side of the string bed and thought you were down a weird rabbit hole. haha. I can see it there now, kind of, now that you told me it is there.

slinger bag shows up today. I probably won’t get to use it until Sunday as I have a match tonight and first thing tomorrow. my match scheduling is stupid. Prediction- I win tonight and die in the am tomorrow. or I lose both. bwaaaa.

I am so thoroughly confused now between my 3 frames.

- The VC95 is the easiest to use in terms of effort it takes to swing, etc.
- The UT is what I reach for in close sets or if I start losing so I obviously still play my best tennis with this one. However it is the most demanding to play with. I try not to use it unless i have. Last night it was 88 degrees with 91% humidity. Being out there for 3.5 hours takes a physical toll on you.
- The Doppio is in between the 2. It's the one I start with and then go from there if I need to switch to 1 of the other 2.

Not trying to throw another wrench in the gears but the Rad MP might be a good solution for you. Easy to swing and play with but has that high level of control that you like from the UT with the added bonus of some free pop.

I do have $150 gift card from TE that my cousin gave me for my birthday. But I'm going to hold off for now until I figure out the VC95/Doppio thing. It's still hard to imagine the Radical MP having that high level of control.

It's a 16x19 but it has 8 mains in the throat. It seems to work pretty well.

Who cares about control, it's orange! If you're going to lose, might as well look good while losing.

depends on how you define control. if only rackets with super low launch angles have high levels of control for you, then it probably won't work out. however, the radical has a predictable response off the stringbed and has one of the best balances of control, spin, and power i've tried in any of the recent offerings. i actually think it's still underrated even with the recent hype

I don't disagree with you. But I would say that based on the hitting so far, the Rad MP has easy variability when it comes to shot selection. I didn't have any issues yesterday controlling the launch angle even when I wanted to flatten shots out.

It sounds like @Vicious49 is looking for an easier to play version of the UT which isn't going to exist in an 18x20. I think the way the Rad MP is set up with its pattern is to truly offer the best of both worlds with easy access to spin while retaining the control element.

Suit yourself. :)
I seem to remember that a while back you told a hardcore 18x20 pattern loving poster that there were 16x19 patterns that offered similar levels of control. They balked and then set off on a journey of racquet exploration that saw them leave the 18x20 world behind. I wonder what ever happened to that guy...:-D

Methinks whichever frame you start with on any given night is doomed. The doubt and question always there. The placebo then into good effect.

They’re all great frames you have there. Might as well add another and make a full sherbet.

absolutely. it can hit whatever ball you want it to hit and has plenty of spin, control, and power on tap. most rackets give you too much of one or two of those things, but rarely does a stick give you all 3 in harmony.

Spoken like a true 'holic!!

So the consensus is skip the Pro and go with the MP? That goes against what I'd normally do but I've found that in the long run I come around to realizing that @Power Player and crew are right. I'm always only about 6 months behind.

I might end up cutting the lynx tour out of it a little early. It would be a shame because it's an epic color combination and it plays so well. But I need to put Tour Status in to compare it head to head with the VC95.

Yep, heck, if you can wait a week or two I'll probably end up selling mine.
