There is one very popular, long thread in the racquet-section, "Diary of a Racketaholic" ... and it´s very nice to read, but, the real deal for a lot of woman,, and men,, is the need to constantly buy new shoes! Shoes Shoes Shoes in all types, vuts, colors, shapes, prices etc. I´m pretty sure a lot of relationships have ended due to Shoeaholism. I am the first on this forum to admit, I am a shoeaholic!! (though i have a very understanding wife, and besides, she´s a tennisplayer as well, so it helps ) The "problems" started back in 2008 when i made a comeback from a 4 year long break from tennis. I orderd a pair of heavy Reebok-pump shoes, a kind Roddick used, and tried them. Didnt really like them, and orderd different pair of Reeboks. A yellow/blue pump version that my all time hero, grande Luis "Lucho" Horna was using. Didnt like that either (now i have to say, i had to order all my shoes online due to the lack of tennisstores in my area so i couldnt try them before) So I orderd more shoes, some i liked, some i didnt like. Some was not looking good, some was good price that i couldnt pass on and so on.... Now I have something like 25 pairs of shoes in my storage and it´s increasing every month... To my defence I have to say i wear out a shoe pretty fast. For example, my latest GSOAT, the Asics Gel Res 2, wears out, with tennis 3 times a week, in about 2 month. My latest "i couldnt resist" was a good deal on a pair of Nike Breath 2K11. They will arrive next week. Any feedback of those shoes? Compared to Asics Gel Res 2? This is my Top 5 of shoes 1: Asics Gel Resolution 2. Low to the ground, good cushioning, good feel 2: Babolat Propulse 3 clay. Soft, great feel. Great support 3: Adidas Feather II first generation (1999/2000) , not the 2´nd from around 2003 THIS was an amazing shoe! So low ride it felt like a gocart compared to driving a car. Good traction, durable. Please Adidas, make this shoe again!! 4: Babolat Team Clay 2: Good support, good low to the ground feel. Good durability 5: Adidas Barricade II: IMO the best Barricade. Nice break, good support. Not as "bulky" as the current versions How´s your shoeholism developing?
