"Like" is a crutch. The message should stand its own and speak for itself. How in blazes did folks manage to communicate on these boards prior to the introduction of likes in 2015?
"React" was a new feature. Even if "React" caused moderation issues (don't see how it possibly could) how does that justify removing the "Like" feature that has been around for years with no problems. We have removed the option to react to posts. There have been moderation issues stemming from this option that have led to this decision.
Thank you for your understanding,
I was going to Like this ... but it could cause a Dumb and Dumber endless loop.
Your 1,116 is forever. If it helps ... maybe all your Likes were "ROFLMAO" likes ... vs "just letting you know I read this" likes.
If a post is offensive, action needs to be taken against the poster. But what about the guys cheering him on with Likes? They need to be disciplined too and that must have been the issue.I realize that. Still don't get the explanation. How does "React" cause moderation issues.
Somebody complained about being "Reacted" to?
The like button (without the recently added "react" option) has been successfully used for years, no?If a post is offensive, action needs to be taken against the poster. But what about the guys cheering him on with Likes? They need to be disciplined too and that must have been the issue.
