Did the positive tests trigger Sinner’s slip in level?

From the time that Sinner knew he had tested positive for an anabolic steroid, his results have slipped.

Over the 6-month period leading up to then, Sinner was unquestionably the deserving World #1.

But since then, Carlos has outperformed him, winning both slams.

How much did the positive test impact him?

And how much will the public outing of the test results impact his results going forward?

I heard he found out the results when he reached the QF in Madrid, a tournament he really should’ve won. I also believe he could’ve/should’ve won Rome as well seeing how high his level was. I have no idea but my best guess is that the USO is out of the cards for him, too much mental strain and scarring from the scathing comments from his fellow players.

I've now won a slam and become world #1.
How to get to the next level? Hmm...?

All I’m gonna say is that regardless if he’s innocent or guilty, a lot of the players on tour are not gonna be very happy that his case was swept under the rug.

Upon reading more into it it doesnt seem they swept it under the rug. This is simply not true. These are standard procedures. If you get a positive result you are allowed to appeal it, and it goes public when the final decision has been made by the tribunal, wich came a couple of days ago.

US Open crowd is gonna be brutal.
