No. I think Sampras is the only one who had a retirement farewell ceremony held in a grand slam like that. McEnroe, Connors, Borg, and all other former greats sure didn't have one.

Yea great way to go out losing to Becker. Andre needed a ceremony.. For GOD SAKES. I know he didnt demolish any records but he is still one of the games all time greats. Arguably top 5-6 somewheres. And he was so well loved and lots of class. At least later on. LOL

I'm sure they would have asked him but he didn't want one. I think the way he went out was a celebration enough. Every match he played at the US Open in 2005 and 2006 was a celebration because people thought it might be the last time they would see him there.
I remember Chang had a little farewell the same year as Pete and got almost no attention for it, it was such a small thing, I felt bad for him.
