I don’t know, it looked a very light color to me. Like white.Still looks like 4g, just really dark so it doesn’t reflect the yellow as much.
That's what crossed my mind! Great, thanks.I understand he was trying a gut mains 4g hybrid at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown tournament last month.
I noticed this in the final too.
But before the final it was more white.
He played great before but not so great in the final. I dont know...I'm probably seeing things there's not.
EDIT: Found this...to me this looks like a gut main (white).
This gut hybrid is better for his arm than full 4g. Now he can smile.Yeah, dude. Tsitsipas is changing strings after every match, that's how all professional tennis players do.

55 pounds in 4g was my first experience with tennis elbow. I Literally never will use that string again.I figured the 4G harshness would eventually catch up to him. 4G is so damn stiff that it's only useable when fresh for the first couple hours. I imagine after playing with it for so many years that his arm builds fatigue and wear/tear with age such that continued use of 4G hurts his elbow or wrist even with fresh 4G. It doesn't help that he fluctuates between 55/52 lbs to sometimes 57/57 lbs depending on surface and location.
???
Why do you have to reply?
The "dude" pointed out that Tsitsi has changed to the hybrid setup and you are being smart telling us what everyone knows, that pros restring before every session -- "Because you want so" (to embarrass yourself?)Because I want so?

You do not need to reply to every post...believe me...

Wow, I do have to say I am somewhat surprised. Curious to see what it does to his game. Might be more difficult to tame the power of the gut.
Must be he had some elbow soreness .. he was playing top shelf with the 4g. will be interesting to see how the gut helps or takes away from his already incredible game.He has an extreme control setup, the gut shouldn't be a dealbreaker. 18X20 tight pattern (pre-parllel drilling) on a 98 frame with the best control strings possible. He'll adjust..
I agree, even though he has a controlled racquet setup, gut on mains would give way more pop than 4gWow, I do have to say I am somewhat surprised. Curious to see what it does to his game. Might be more difficult to tame the power of the gut.
Apparently he couldnt control the power of the gut.

Yeah , it looks like that. But judging by the tie offs it is full poly. (Most pro stringers dont want to tie poly to gut)Looks thinner in the mains to me
Full 4G at roland garros. And I bet under these conditions at roland garros 2020 he is very happy that he didnt make the switch to gut mains!Do we know if he is using gut still in the mains ? Or back to full poly?
It depends on conditions. Typically 55/52 lbs. He has in the past tried full bed 57lbs.Anyone know his tension?
