difference between roddick GT and standard pure drive GT?

hello , i have been demoinga pure drive GT for a while now and ive been playing fantastically with it! today i went out to buy one, and they only had th Roddick GT's so i got one, because i need it for tryouts next week. s there a difference? or should i stick with the roddick.? anybody who's used both please enlighten me! these are the regular not the plus

It has a stiffer beam which means more power and stuff but also its easier to get TE with it as well

About 15grams, and a little stiffer. I'd go with the standard though, more room for customization.

only customization i do is an overgrip ahah

well the standard was amazing for me, but i found it a little too light coming from a strung 11.7 ounce racquet, but it had speedport holes.

anybody who's played with both have any favorites between the two?

Not really at all.

I watched Will Hamilton's review on each racket and he said the only real difference is the weight. Otherwise they feel the same.

TBH I hear a ton of people saying that Roddick isn't using the Roddick GT either. He's just using a Paint job.

I string my Pure Drive GT+ with PHT mains and VS Crosses. Pretty amazing hybrid, I'm making a ton of great shots with it. I'd say that's close to a customization.

I'll soon put a new replacement grip on it, plus I have my own stencil ink, so I stenciled the logo on, they're like quasi-customizations.

I might get some head tape eventually, but I've never really felt to need to add weight to my rackets like a lot of the pros do.

when i was demoing the pure drive GT standard, i kind of felt that it was a little too light, and i had to like add 2 dampeners or something to get it tothe weight that i wanted, you think the roddick will do fine? im thinking so

the roddick is loads more stable and solid feeling on groundies and volleys. but like most Babolats not a great deal of accuracy.

I have a PDGT, but I actually prefer the greater weight and stability of the Roddick.

He plays with the 'Plus' extended length version (27.5"). There are extended length versions of both racquets.
