Differences between the gauges of Blue gear

I'm using blue gear 16g right now and need to buy another reel but was wondering what qualities change as you go up in gauge with blue gear. (i.e. Does the spin created change drastically from 16g vs 17g vs 18g)

Spin doesn't increase DRASTICALLY, but it does increase slightly. Durability also decreases.
