This is really a reach...you may be able to fashion something that will work size-wise AND make the cart a bit more convenient. I built a 'riser' (like an old keyboard cubby or platform you might use to raise your flatscreen up to make room for a DVR, etc underneath). The 'legs' of the riser would be placed an inch or two narrower than the cart top BUT the platform on top of the legs would be wide enough for your machine. This would give you a shelf under the platform, more convenient than opening the drawer each time, IMO. I did this when I had my giant SP11 on top of a microwave cart. It raises the platform height by whatever amount you make the legs(in height).
This only make sense if you have some sheet goods available and are interested in a bit of a project. An easier but less 'useful' approach would be to place a board(wide enough) flat on top of the M/W cart. It would need to be secured to eliminate sliding...just an area rug pad or spongy shelf liner would hold the board in place.
This assumes you want to keep the cart and work with it. I was happy with my set-up even though I've downsized to a MS200tt and don't need the extra width platform. BTW, my M/W cart is 25.5" x 18" (from Cost Plus/World Market)
