Dimitrov New Raquet??

Just looked at the new video the ATP YouTube channel put out titled: "Training With The Stars In Monte Carlo". At 1:18 you can clearly see that Dimitrov is using a pro staff with golden paint. It looks great, maybe Wilson will finally release his special pro stock 93 with the more open spin pattern Grigor loves.:D

Also side note, looks like Troicki is using a Yonex DR Blue.:)

Also, he's still wearing the (same ol' trusty) Vapor 9 Tour, meaning no Nike Vapor X for him. Didn't think so, anyway.

I guess it was last year about this time that he had the gold Wilson on the throat of his frame with the red at 3&9. I’ll be curious to see if this makes it to retail. He seems to like the gold finishes?

Or another try at advertising that custom paintjob service Wilson recently came up with. Remember the camo pj on 3&9? Didn't use it too long...

I want a traditional midsized, thin box beamed Pro Staff back too. But mother of god, PLEASE no more "Spin" patterns.

Unlike Grigor Dimitrov and other pros, we don't change racquets every 6 games and we actually need our s*** to last.

Couldn’t agree more. Maybe we’ll get a RF90 or something in the near future. I can only hope.

he uses Open string pattern ?? really? how does he control that trampoline effect from that string pattern ?

Hmm, just tried to check specs and fwiw, TW has removed the most recent black 97s for sale, only the original one is available on clearance...

Babolat has been losing a lot of their players to Yonex. I've noticed quite a few Pure Aero/APD players have switched to Yonex.

I'm interested to see if Yonex starts getting a larger market share. They've always been a niche group (in the US at least), but they make quality products and they're really starting to go after more pro endorsements.

A Wilson rep I've talked to said it's exactly that... another custom pj service ad.

Whether he's right or wrong is a different story.

Yeah, it's funny how Yonex is sometimes perceived in 'western markets' as a battling up and comer; badminton is apparently the second biggest participatory sport world wide behind soccer, and Yonex have some ridiculously big racquet market share, like 80% or something. For them, tennis is a side line, albeit one that allows them to penetrate disparate markets.

A lot of APD users, I'm talking about Troicki, have went to the SV 98/100. Interesting that Viktor went with a Ezone Blue. Well, glad to see other guys using it besides Nick.
