Isn‘t this stat meaningless anyway?

Both Nadal and Djokovic will drop to Federers level as with increasing age they will lose more?

I am not so sure. They play less and will lose less. That those older champs increase their percentage numbers, is due to the very selected schedule. Federer also had better numbers in his later years, when he set out months for rest periods.

How is it meaningless? Djokovic and Nadal at over 83% W/L even after over 1000 wins each shows how consistently good they've been all these years. It's not the most significant stat but being at the top of this is another great achievement from Nole.

Roger actually improved his stats during the last 5 years of his career (85% matches won from 2017 - 2021, 171 wins and 30 losses)

Impressive stats by all but the difference between Novak and Rafa is insignificant, IMO. A more impressive stat is that Novak is over 80% on all surfaces. Not sure about Rafa and Roger.
