Djoker's worst surface vs that of Fedal

I believe Djoker's worst surface to be grass. Fed's worst surface is clay and Nadal's worst surface is hard courts. Given that the season is 30% clay, 60% HC and 10% grass, it seems like having grass as your worst surface is better than either clay or HC.

Of course the argument can be made that the predominance of certain surfaces means that competition evolves accordingly i.e. HC field is the toughest, clay next, grass easiest.

I have a feeling that by the end of their careers, Nole could edge Nadal to have the Masters titles record given that he is really comfortable on clay and HC.

Ironically, its still the grass slam that is the most prestigious and the one almost all players dream winning.

I think the biggest factor is the time he has left to win them.

I think 14 of Nadal's masters are on clay, 5 on hardcourts. He has basically cleaned up on clay every year since 2005, until this year but he still won Monte Carlo. However, he probably wouldn't have if Novak had played that one.

If Djokovic keeps up his beating of Nadal on clay then it's possible Nadal will not win too many more Masters series. In fact if Djokovic concentrates his best play into the 3 clay masters, that will make life tough for Nadal because on hardcourt other people can beat him even if Djokovic doesn't.

So I thought Novak wouldn't end up with more masters than nadal but it is possible. However he's about 10 behind at this point so he may not have enough time to grab that many. Nadal getting 25+ though may be no longer likely.

Nole might end up with more masters series than Nadal.

But he won't win more slams than Nadal.

As a matter of fact, he won't even end up with as many slams as Nadal.

So at the end of their careers, Nole might have more masters series than Nadal but Nadal will have more slams than Nole.

Nadals worst is indoor. Look at his record at the season end championships. The quicker conditions don't suit him.

Agree, his worst is indoor (specially fast indoor low-bouncing carpet, but that does not exist anymore).

The last two years YEC were indoor, low-bouncing and rather slow surface (or perhaps the balls were big and slow).

If he had to play in the first half of the nineties kind of carpet, ultra fast low-bouncing indoor carpet with light-small-fast balls....we will never know but I bet he would suffer a lot.

the indoor surface last year at the YEC was really slow according to people here, yet he didn't win it. 2009 was slow as well and he lost all matches.

Late bloomers(players who start to dominate at 24/25 like Lendl for example) don't finish in the double digits at the slams.

Nole will not win more than 8 slams. I'm sure of that. He is a late bloomer.

Borg started his streak of winning majors for 7/8 consecutive years at 17 almost 18, Sampras at 21 almost 22, Federer at 21 almost 22 and Nadal at 19.

Nole is 24. He only has 3 slams. Those players who finished in the double digits at the slams had more than just 3 slams at 24.

Wrong. Also grass is not his worse surface. It's clay.
