Djokovic’s Struggles: Can He Still Win a Slam in 2025?

For him a lot depends on the draw now.

He can lose to anyone now, but can still beat anyone.

And he gets stronger as the tournament goes on. So if he makes it out of the first three rounds, he has as good a chance as anyone.

In a sense, the lower his seeding is, the better. If he meets Alcaraz in the QF/SF that is better than meeting him in the F.

For the first time in his career, Djokovic has lost three consecutive matches, which is something we’ve never seen before. With Alcaraz and Sinner both playing at an elite level and showing no signs of slowing down, do you think Djokovic can still win the French Open or Wimbledon this year?

Is this just a rough patch, or are we seeing the beginning of a decline? Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts!
Very unlikely. The aura has gone now, especially with the New Gen, and while i am not writing him off yet i think he is back to square one now in the sense that he has to take smaller events as seriously as a 19 year old and start getting wins under the belt.

Sinner or Alcaraz are going to demolish the 38-year-old tennis player.
Sinner v Djokovic appears a grudge match so Sinner will want to humiliate him one would think, thats got personal by all accounts.
Alcaraz outside Australia in a best of 5 set contest is likely to have two close sets then steam roll Djokovic the next set or 2.

He is definitely not the player he once was. As a player gets old, the consistency becomes the problem and that's why BO5 becomes harder to win. I think it won't be easy for Djokovic to win a slam at this stage, but nothing is impossible. I guess he needs a lot of luck to win a slam now, but it is still a possibility, just not as high as it used to be. If Alcaraz and Sinner are both out, Djokovic can still win a slam, although nowadays there are more than just two players who can beat him.

GS wise, I don't think he would get 25. Quantitatively i think the chance is less than 5%. Maybe 5% is overestimate.
ATP champion wise, he may get another one to make the number 100. But that's still hard for him, because he focus on ATP 1000 and GS. Hope he switch strategy after Wimbledon and participate some 250 events. Still ATP 250 can be hard for him.
He should not play 250 tourneys, maybe not even Belgrade.
