Djokovic is favorite obviously.

The gruelling 5 setter should in theory hurt Novak's chances, but for some reason, he doesn't seem to be affected by long matches anymore. He's taking mystery pills in the middle of matches. All a bit dodgy. But it is what it is.

I hate the way Djoko is hinting in the on court interview with Courier that "energy drinks, bannanas, and push-ups" are preventing him from getting tired. He sounds so guilty

This year we could finally see another Golden Slam like Graf in 1988. Nobody can beat Djokovic. Federer is too oldish now.

I have to say though, this is a great opportunity for Nadal to turn this rivalry around again.

If Nadal can beat his new nemesis in a Slam final (something Federer never managed after his first two Wimbledon wins against Nadal), I do think the "Nadal is GOAT" conversation will be back in full effect.

A very important match for Nadal, this is. Unlike Federer, I think Nadal will stop at nothing to figure out his nemesis, and I think he's got the guts and game to succeed.

Looks like Nadal might not win anymore slams. He will keep on meeting his daddy Djokovic in the finals. 10 slams is still a great achievement like Tilden did.

I can't see Rafa taking more than 1 set. But more likely a straight set win for Nole. Nole/Andy was the REAL final.

Form is irrelevant, Novak is such a mental giant that he just can't be overcome.

I'm a fed fan, but Nole has done it time and time again.

He could be 5-0 down in the 5th and I'd still pick him.

On the other hand, if Nadal loses again:)....

It will look far worse than what Fed did against Nadal a few years back in their so called rivarly. Fed at least can still beat Nadal from time to time and force him to 4/5 sets in majors, all of that despite him being 5 years older and years past his prime. What exactly has Nadal done against Djokovic?

Looking foward to a 7th straight loss.

It's now or never for Rafa. He NEEDS to take notes from tonight's match and employ an aggressive gameplan and his shots need to land deep in the court. He needs to be less predictable as well and KEEP NOLE RUNNING. If he does more running than Nole, he can forget about it. This is the perfect opportunity to get things back on track and he needs to take it as such.

After watching what i just watched, i can't help but think that this is Nadal's best chance in any of their last 6 matches (although no better than their matches on clay really).

Djoker is going to be the less fresh player without question.

That being said, I think Nole has extreme confidence in this match, and I think he's in Nadal's head the way Nadal is in Federer's head.

Give me Nole in 4 like the last 2 slams.

But the real winner is going to be tennis fans, who got 2 compelling semis, and are going to get a compelling final.

I honestly cannot see Nadal beating Nole in the final, If that was Rafa on the other side, Murray would be the one in the final.

I am glad that Rafa is 'happy' about his results so far because they are not going to get any better Novak in 3 and Nadal will go back to Mallrca with a silver plate.

BTW i was rightabout 2011 time to change to 2012

Unless Rafa gets a visit from his fairy BH godmother, the match will be the mirror image of Wimby and USO. The thing I don't get is, Nadal fans always laugh at Fed fans who think the outcome will be different, but they are doing the same, no?

Y'all don't get. Djokovic is in Nadal's head. The Serbian can play with a frying pan and still he will beat Nadal. That is the enormity of the ownage these days.

Man, this is gonna be bad, u guys are right :( Cockyvic will be moping around the court looking like a zombie that can barely breathe and has one leg, and is on his death bed (even though he won't be the least bit tired) and win in 4. UGH! lol.

The slower the court, the worse Rafa's chances. Rafa cannot hit thru Nole for sure on AO's slow court.

I'm hoping Djokovic takes this one, only because the Nadal trolls annoyed me so much in the Djoker vs Murray thread. :D

All djoking aside, it will be interesting to see if Nadal can keep up his good form or not. If he loses this one, Djokovic might destroy him till the end of time.

Novak is a top professional athlete. All this talk about him having only 1 day off will hurt him is quite frankly, BS. I think he can win in 4 or 5 sets.

He beat him 16 times in many important events like Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open, Davis Cup, World Tour Finals, Olympic games and Masters 1000. And even if he loses the final he will still have a positive H2H against him.

I think Nadal has the tactics to do it but I fear his hands are going to start sweating very quickly if he goes down an early break in the opening set.:(
I don't like Nadal's serve to be honest with you. Not at all. A guy like Berdych had 14 looks on Nadal's serve in BP opportunities. Berdych is not even in the top 10 best ROS. He doesn't even have an ability to read Nadal's serve yet he had 14 chances and converted on 2. And Nadal's second serve is spinny with nothing really on it. I can't see how Djokovic won't have a field day smashing those serves at Nadal's feet.

Yes that was good form but what Djoko and Murray showed tonight surpassed that on Thursday,

Which pretty much sums it up, Novak could be playing on a crutch and still win.

H2H won't mean anything now. Nadal must win matches today and not rely on a H2H from the past. He can't allow Djokovic to win ALL the Slams on his watch. Especially since Nadal is in the prime of his career.

Federer has no fight against Nadal. He can't go to war. He doesn't have a weapon that works against Nadal on these slow courts. Djokovic and Murray have weapons which work very well on the other hand. The ability to grind and the great backhands. Federer has neither.

Haha. The guy is such a ham actor, isn't he.

He's clearly never tired these days, but puts on a show of complete exhaustion, to put off his oppponent and give them false hope.

Well Federer was 6-8 (but 5-2 on non clay surfaces), 2-0 in majors out of the FO against Nadal at one stage. Nadal won't keep a positive h2h against Novak no matter what.

The Djokovic fans, Federer fans and Nadal haters have really come out strong. Idk what the problem is with them, but there is no way Djokovic can beat Nadal in 3 out of 5 sets. Novak just played a 5 hour match, and has only 1 day of rest. Nadal has 2 days of rest and only played 4 sets. The difference is huge.

And what do I care about that? To say that Nadal hasn't done anything against Djokovic is simply ridiculous, when he's got victories over him in almost all the important events. In fact, the AO is the only one that's missing.
