Djoko has won 3+ titles at 9 out of the 14 tier 1 and that's another record for him:
6 AO, 5 IW, 6 Miami, 4 Rome, 3 W, 4 Canada, 3 1st fall, 4 Paris and 5 WTF
Then comes Fed with 7:
4 AO, 4 IW, 6 3rd clay, 7 W, 7 Cincy, 5 USO, 6 WTF
Nadal has 6:
3 IW, 9 MC, 7 Rome, 4 3rd clay, 9 RG, 3 Canada
Sampras 5:
3 Miami, 7 W, 3 Cincy, 5 USO, 5 WTF

Remember, for all players collecting titles is going to happen far more frequently on HCs, and this is true for Masters as well as slams. Both Federer and Sampras were actually hurt by the relative rarity of grass court tennis, and both were weakest on clay.

Clay specialists are also hurt in titles and ranking, which is the biggest reason why Nadal was so little at #1 in the world.

I was thinking about it a bit yesterday. I LOVE the Olympics. I know many on TTW don't care for them. But what you wanna bet if Andy SOMEHOW manages to upset Djoker in a gold medal match SUDDENLY the masses of FEDAL fans will come flocking out of the woodwork to triumph about what a huge freaking deal losing olympic gold is and how Andy's 2x gold ruins Djoker's resume. Olympics will go from this "no one cares lol" tourney to "a incalculable disgrace" if Novak doesn't win.
Well, someone has already pointed out how Novak is the only Big 4 without a gold medal. Tragic. :(:D

Novak's results bend their "opinions" so easily it's hilarious. Until a few months ago, I remember the talk how the Career Grand Slam is the holy grail and that Novak can't be even compared to Fedal as long as he is a Roland Garros virgin (though they never had a problem with putting Sampras in the mix). However when he won it and also held all of the Slams, that achievement is totally overrated (not achieved in one calendar year ). Of course, one of the other reasons it's overrated is because their favorites would have (very popular phrase they use nowadays) also achieved it in parallel universe. :D

And this is just one example, I can make a book on this case.

Who cares?

Be fair, Murray often does play his best against Djokovic or he wouldn't be the only player apart from Federer and Nadal to have registered double digit victories over him and beaten him in Slams and Masters finals. However, like I say, he does need to do it more often. I agree with you completely there.

BTW, not sure what I'm supposed to remember about Ferrer. Can't recall the last time Daveed got the better of Novak!
David plays his best and hardly fades away against Djokovic. Granted his best is never to beat Djoko but he always makes it tough.
Murray is a better player than Ferrer in every department but he doesnt do it consistently against Djokovic

Exactly. Its not about Nole. Its about Federer and Nadal being injured, its about Wawrinka playing like crap, and its about the generations who should peaking now is miles behind. Raonic was lucky to reach the Wimby final because Nadal and Djoke was out, and lucky for him Fed got injured during the SF. He was chanceless vs Murray. Nishi is even worse than Raonic and these are the two best players of the post 88 generations?
Perfectly put man. Feel exactly the same

The comparison was between Djoko and Fed, not Sampras.
You missed my point, I think. I'm saying that Fed was in between Sampras and Djokovic. I think of Nadal, Murray and Djokovic as contemporaries. I think of Fed as more or less in the middle, though of course with a 10 year rather than a 6 year difference. Fed and Nadal is a bit different because of Nadal's unbelievably young ascent.
