When I was 16-17 I've trained with an ingrown toenail on my take off foot. After every training I would go home with a bloody sock. Not just a bit but lots of blood. That year I've won the national title in high jump while jumping my PB. Only after the comp I went to get it removed as the big toe was going black. It is painful I admit but whatever the situation with Noel's toe is/was cannot be that serious to ask for time out. I never asked for one during my competition.
