Roddick Wim 04/09 vs Nadal Wim 06/11 10 matches?Probably not again. AO was never one of Roddick's best slams.

Yeah but slams are a different story.the difference is significant here.
Nadal needs to be somewhere close to fed's level for mental issues to factor in. people under-estimate or forget that.
before AO 12 and after AO 12, fed thrashed nadal at YEC 11 and beat him convincingly at IW 12.
RG 11 later rounds and AO 12, fed/nadal were at same ballpark levels (ditto for WIm 07/08 and AO 09)

That's true. That's why Nadal doesn't play Djokovic outside of clay lolHe didn't, but they also didn't play in conditions that favored Fed's game. It's like Nadal never having to face Djokovic at RG to get back some confidence.
Roddick would get 2-3 wins.Roddick Wim 04/09 vs Nadal Wim 06/11 10 matches?
Yeah but slams are a different story.
Roddick would get 2-3 wins.
How do you see it going then?
How do you see it going then?
Yeah I gathered but like what 6-4 or 7-3?2004/2009 Arod vs 2006/2011 Nadal? Arod wins the majority.
Yeah I gathered but like what 6-4 or 7-3?
Hewitt YEC 01 final/YEC 04 SF vs Nadal YEC 10/13 SF's 10 matches?6-4. After the Wimbledon 2006 final Federer still said 2004 Roddick was the toughest opponent he'd faced there.
Hewitt YEC 01 final/YEC 04 SF vs Nadal YEC 10/13 SF's 10 matches?
5-5?Good matches
5-5?
Must be at least 6-4 then for you thenHewitt embarassed a better Roddick than the one that gave Nadal tons of trouble in 2010
Must be at least 6-4 then for you then
Not a very exciting matchup anyway because of one player called HewI don't know. Just messing with you lol.

Yeah Hewitt has been involved in some decent scraps.Poor bait, everyone knows Hewitt has been involved in some absolute epics.
Nah Fed could win. He's just the underdog. People say all this **** like it's 100% one guy or the other. What we really should be saying is like oh Novak would have an 80% chance or whatever. That's a made up number.A set yeah. He probably wins the first since Djokovic would be trying to find his feet after the Murray epic.
But he definitely doesn't go 6 hours with Djokovic. It would be over in 4. Even in this era there's a difference between 25.5 (Nadal) and 30.5 (Fed) at the highest level.
2017 Fed would have had a very big chance against either on the faster surface. No chance against that Djokovic on that very slow court.
Would have been interesting to actually watch 2012 Fed play Nadal and Djokovic on the 2017 surface though
Next Gen have been particularly rough at the AO. Zed AO 20/21 prolly the best but Bird is better.Yep, he definitely was. I still see him losing just because of his mental weakness even if he goes up 2-0 in sets. Kinda like how he lost to Fed in 2009.
And I dare anyone to show me a Next Gen performance close to this one from Berdych.
2016 AO was clearly faster too imo. 15 and earlier USO was faster. This was hardly ever true until 2017
Berdych AO 12 or Thiem AO 20? Let's say both QF matches.Next Gen have been particularly rough at the AO. Zed AO 20/21 prolly the best but Bird is better.
Against their 2012 selves? No chance. Age would be too much of a factor even on a faster court.2017 Fed would have had a very big chance against either on the faster surface.
Would be a fun one. Kinda depends on the court speed because I think Thiem would love the AO 12 conditions. You can't trust either guy mentally and it would be close enough that mental would be a big part. My gut says Berdych but not very confidently.Berdych AO 12 or Thiem AO 20? Let's say both QF matches.
Looking back, Federer wasn't that old back thenDjokovic had quite a few dips at the AO in 2012 but on that slow af court I'm not sure Fed at that stage in his career would be able to maintain the intensity long enough to capitalise.
Hewitt Wim 02 vs Fed Wim 15?Would be a fun one. Kinda depends on the court speed because I think Thiem would love the AO 12 conditions. You can't trust either guy mentally and it would be close enough that mental would be a big part. My gut says Berdych but not very confidently.
Seriously?Hewitt Wim 02 vs Fed Wim 15?
Good point. Still I feel 2017 Fed was arguably his best level in Australia maybe since 2010. He hit his BH really well that year. Maybe not at Australia then but certainly Wimbledon or us open Fed would have been the favourite the way he played that year.Against their 2012 selves? No chance. Age would be too much of a factor even on a faster court.
YhSeriously?
Federer in straights
Looking back, Federer wasn't that old back then
That would be true even if they were the same ageHe was still at a physical disadvantage compared to Djokovic.
Hewitt Wim 02 vs Murray Wim 15?Federer in straights
Not really. That would be true even if they were the same age
That would be true even if they were the same age
He wasn't in absolute terms, but compared to mid 20's Djokodal he was.Looking back, Federer wasn't that old back then
I've never seen superhuman efforts from Federer like what Djokovic did in 2012 or Nadal in 09.Hardly and certainly not to the same extent.
There are other ways to win. I'd say what he did at Wimb 2009 and AO 2017 was pretty damn impressive too.I've never seen superhuman efforts from Federer like what Djokovic did in 2012 or Nadal in 09.
