I like this matchup. Should be entertaining. I'll go with Djoker in 3.
2 points I'd like to make:
(1) Djokovic seems to be the great forgotten player: He hasn't lived up to his AO title and seems to have dropped off as others, most notably Murray, have ascended. Add to this his image as a sometimes-quitter and I think collectively a lot of people have prematurely written him off. I'm not saying he's going to be the GOAT, but he's extremely talented and I think he will catch fire again before he is out of his prime.
(2) Tsonga. I think we're starting to see what Tsonga's career will look like for the next couple years if he avoids serious injury. His upside is tremendous. A good athlete with all the shots. Can come to net, can play well from the baseline, can win free points off of his serve. He's one of those players whose top level (like Nalbandian) is incredibly high and actually rivals that of the top players. So, he will always be a threat to upset a top player and/or to catch fire for a week or two and win a tournament. He defintely has the game to win a Slam. Not saying he will do it, but he has the potential.
BUT, the problem, as with a lot of players, is his non-top level. It seems more and more apparent, that he will continue to be streaky and he will get frustrated by people who he can't hit through with ease. Coming off being a finalist at the AO, some people posited that his loss to Verdasco at the AO was a "bad" loss. But, he played fine. Versasco simply stayed in the points and Tsonga could not consistently hit through him, which frustrated him. Add to that Verdaco's own firepower and there is very clear path to beating Tsonga. Same thing with Andreev at IW (though, in all fairness, Tsonga did actually play pretty bad in much of that match).
So, Tsonga doesn't strike me as someone who will consistently be playing the top 3 in the QFs and SFs of Slams. He strikes me as someone who will lose in the 3rd round one Slam, make the SFs the next, lose in the 4th Round, and then make the QFs. Barring injury, he'll have a Tommy Haas type career (though he may usurp Haas by actually winning a Slam) - always a threat, capable of beating anyone on a given day, always fun to watch, but usually not quite going all the way at the biggest events.
