As a big Tsonga fan, JW was playing very poorly D:
Novak was solid but then started having some serious physical problems and looked exhausted come the end, it was a mark of how poorly Jo was playing that he failed to break at all in the second imo.
Tsonga was putrid, but Djokovic was pretty decent. He really played great to get the break and to hold his games at the end when he was clearly not feeling well.
He does have breathing problems. He even had surgery on it a few years back. His lungs don't fill up as much as normal people. I forgot what it was called... or how it is now.
it's too bad, hopefully this doesn't shorten his career. It's tough enough competing in 90-100 degree weather against top players, this illness just makes it worse. Sure they are all well-trained athletes, but an athlete can only become great if they stay healthy.

it's too bad, tsonga is either a hit or a miss. Hopefully he gets rolling during the clay court season. Djokovic vs Fed - 1'st meeting since '08 open. let's see if djokovic can hang around in this match.
Tsongas two main weapons the first serve and the forehand were not on the money. Djokovic was suffering with a stomach problem late on in the second set and seemed gassed. Tsonga being a nobrainer decided to go for broke forehand winners when all he had to do was stay in the rally and wait for Djokovic to wilt...Credit to Djokovic though. Overall he played a solid match and physically 'hung in there' for the win.
. . . He has a physical disability. I have posted this before, but fyi:
It's hyperventilation. In other words his lung volume is too small to circulate enough air to feed oxygen to his blood system. He does some yoga to improve this situation. Still sometimes he is suffocating, especially when the ambient temperature is very high.
Damn, I got worried for Nole for a while. Glad he pulled it off in the end, though with plenty of help from Tsonga. I am also worried about the big picture. If Djokovic can't last a 3 setter in hot weather, I'm not liking his GS chances.
