Just because Nadal is done and dusted doesn't mean Novak will suffer shock defeats.

Djokovic will lift the title if Alcaraz does not reach the final.... even Sinner cannot stop him.... no one can.
do you know btw whats up there with carlos injury status, some news/info were released or not recently? (perhaps i missed that moment)

So? He rarely gets players considered a threat in early rounds. Happens all the time. Oh well, a LL took him out recently so you never know, hopefully he will suffer a shock defeat again.

R1 opponent average rank and Elo at slams:
Nole 74, 1841
Fedr 82, 1826
Rafa 90, 1824

I agree that Musetti hasn't played well in recent times. But Djokovic needs to show me something solid in Geneva first, to show he can take on multiple clay court players.
bo5 is his last killer weapon
his only hurdle is whether another finalist would perform well

You  really don't like him do you?
You’ve only just noticed? I respect the fact that he has incredible records and is seen as the GOAT by many but he’s been in the vast majority of slam finals and won them in recent years and I’m very bored with that outcome.

This isn't the same Musetti who had Djoko down 2-0 sets at RG though
But Joker is 37, though.
Musetti is already at the beginning of his prime and on his best surface.
It should (if it happens) be a 4-set match.
:D

Did you say that with a straight face?

Djokovic has a cakewalk all the way to the semis.

That is not a cake walk for someone who just found some form finally in Geneva.

Had he been playing with great form all clay season long, even if he didn't win any titles, it would be OK, but he has not.

No no

You are walking into the trap. Don't take sympathies for Novak.

Even if Novak was in top form, musetti in R3 and Ruud in QF is no joke. The guy is misleading people. Now let's talk about the draw without giving any excuses that our guys form is bad etc.

Of course Muestti and Ruud are no jokes, we know they can play on clay.

i think it may be a worse draw to sasha
rafa would try his best and cannot play safe at the match

this is the only positive thing for Nadal...it's clear he's been going back and forth on what he has left, how much he should give in a match depending on the opponent...this draw will clear his mind, he has to go full bore from the first point with whatever he has left
