They did pretty much. The point being if it played like true grass you wouldn’t have 2 baseliners grinding their way to titles there.
Every Wimbledon is true grass...
Imagine I say players don't play with real rackets... Real rackets are wooden ones...

And grass is different... Changes are meant to be in good way, and organisers are happy with what they're doing, or they would switch back to "old" grass... So, its positive change, obviously....

A little better HC and better on clay since 2016 or at worst 2019 now.

Still needs to do more to pass Fed on grass IMO but it’s doable.

3-0 at Finals with equal titles slight advantage Novak
All those matches happened after Fed’s prime and one of those was as close as it could get. Federer converts one of those match points and the H2H is 2-2. He showed in 2012 that he can beat Djokovic and honestly speaking while I usually don’t read to much into one-off matches, this encounter indicates that prime for prime, Fed most likely would have the upper hand more often than not. I don’t say that 3-0 in finals is completely irrelevant, but it does not outweigh 3 additional finals and several additional Halle titles.

I agree with your point for the 3 additional finals but let's not include Halle.Federer have 1,i repeat 1 win vs Top 10 player in his hall Halle career. So i say it's pretty useless point.

I agree that those titles are not the deciding factor here, but we are talking grass resume overall and in the end the differences here are thin. So while of course no number of Halle titles will ever outweigh a Wimbledon title or even final, it can still be used as a tie breaker.

He’s not even greater on 1.
5-3 at the USO.
12-11
And a lot more hardcourt records.
But even if we agree that there can be some dispute about hard in what world there can be even a debate about their claycourt resume.
Fed have not 1 argument there and while this is both their worst surface Roger is far worse claycourter than Novak

How will he be greater with 8? Fed will still have three more finals and is also way more successful on grass outside Wimbledon. Djokovic would need 9 Wimbledon titles to surpass Fed.
Djokovic will win a grass masters in 2024 to snap the tie with Federer on grass.
