God, I thought Djokovic will stop talking about his antiquated opinions about science and medicine after the Adria tour fiasco.

Why he gets baited is beyond my comprehension.

He needs a complete PR / Management team overhaul. Are his parents his sole advisors ?

If good sleep, diets and exercise are alone sufficient , we would not have Olympians and so many sportsmen contracting COVID.
You contract it whether you are healthy or not. There is no force field around you.

But YOUR IMMUNE system plays a vital role in fighting it.

And quite horrible ones as such as far as we can tell.
Reminds me of Borg who lacked judgement outside the tennis court..

Djokovic claims that he has those things dialled and still contracted COVID. He also went through it just like most of his age group, so it is unclear what he is claiming (apart from some superior knowledge, as apparent from his "I know, but I won't tell you" kindergarten level tirade).

But Nole is immune to understanding his limitations.. A Prime example of the Dunning Krueger effect. Check it out.

I completely agree with him that not enough is being done to educate people in ways of improving their general health and boosting their immune systems. Those are by far the most effective ways of protecting yourself against dangerous virusses , not just hiding away from each other and wearing masks.

Anyone else nervous of a conspiracy occurring? If FO don't like Novak for some reason they can DQ him via COVID. I'm not saying it's likely but sketchier things have happened in the past. I can't name them because well, uh, I'm guessing.

How much is "enough"?

The best thing you can do is to ensure that people are not fat, but that means taking on the sugar industry among other powerful lobby groups.

Djokovic had the same attitude during the Adria Tour, believing that his immune system would see off COVID because of his diet, breathing exercises, and plenty of sleep. Look where that got him.
Looks like his immune system beat covid fairly quickly

Im going to continue wearing masks and practice social distancing to protect those who cant strengthen their immune system, lose weight, eat right, take a million supplements, be 20 years younger, etc.

I'm staying like everyone else, in that official hotel designated for tournament participants. I didn't know you could walk out of the club to the place where we train and go out on the street without an escort. And here we have security that follows you, probably to see where you are moving, etc. I don't know if it's just for the top players or for all the players, I guess it's hard for them to provide the amount of people who will follow so many players which are here.

Players are able to walk on the streets of Paris?!

Apparently, Roland Garros changed the COVID testing protocol, according to Serbian news portal B92.net. Unfortunately, I could not find confirmation in English anywhere on the web, but this news portal has a reputation of a reliable source of information in the past.

Roland Garros chaged its COVID testing protocol

The dust has been raised about the disqualification of Damir Dzumhur and Fernando Verdasco from Roland Garros due to a positive test for COVID-19, so the rules have changed. The organizers decided to change the "corona protocol" and to exclude from the protocol those players who already had coronavirus.

Namely, those tennis players who have contracted this virus and submit proof that they had, or still have antibodies, will not be expelled from the tournament. That means, therefore, that Novak Djokovic could not be expelled, as well as Aleksandar Zverev, Grigor Dimitrov, Benoit Perr and other players who were positive in the past.

This is certainly a relief because day-to-day testing certainly creates stress and uncertainty as to whether the scenario that Dzumhur or Verdasco went through will come about. It will now be easier for Djokovic and he can prepare for the first round duel against Swedish tennis player Mikael Imer in peace.

That's fantastic!

Sure, Verdasco and Dzumhur must be ecstatic. Oh, and, BTW, it only shows that the RG organisers are removing the possibility for their tournament to be ruined by "unwanted" eliminations of important players. It certainly has nothing to do with medical evaluations: as of now it is not clear whether a person cannot be infected a second time or become a spreader.

Nadal can still get kicked out though. A pretty big player they didn't find a rule somewhere to invent to not kick out?

RG made a good decision here. These guys already had the virus.

Zverev never tested positive In Serbia.
Only Djoker, Mrs Djoker, Goran, Dumitrov, and Coria.

They can work with what is available to them. If they make a blanked rule that prevents all players from being removed that won't be tolerated by the official French authorities, and doing it only for Nadal will raise more questions.

RG made a good decision for the tournament, and it has absolutely nothing to do with a good medical decision. It also certainly is not "good" according to Verdasco, Dzumhur (and anyone in their position), who I assume, will be furious over this.

I just saw the US Open tournament officials give him a full 10 minutes to plead his case about an incident that clearly did not warrant any discussion.

If Novak wants to talk, they'll listen.

when quitting the ATP Player Council and forming this new structure, this is precisely what Novak claimed, that tournament officials didn't want to talk to him and the Player Council.
so, either Novak lied, or you are delusional.

Another win for PTPA! Great news.(y)

Come on, dude. Even if I'm wrong, that doesn't make me delusional. Who taught you to speak to people?

Anyway, you have the facts wrong. Novak's claim was not that tournament officials "didn't want to talk to him." His claim was that the Players Council, given how it operated vis-à-vis the ATP governing body as a whole, had limited latitude to effectively serve the needs of the players. As I've said in a previous post, being listened to is distinct from (and prior to) having decisions made in your interest.

If you want to be precise, let's be precise. Let's not willfully misrepresent what people have said, my friend.

if you want to be precise, he also mentioned that tournament officials wouldn't answer their calls and he also said that they are laughing at us, this is why players needed this new organization.

life taught me how to speak to people, dude.
