Djokovic defends 5,350 points over next 2-3 months, how many does he defend?

why is wimbledon no points this year?
Tennis tours are considering a ranking freeze to protect banned Russian and Belarusian players after Wimbledon's decision to deny such stars from competing - with stripping UK events of ranking points altogether also an option

If a plane crashes on in the four corners area of the southwest, which includes the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah, and the bodies all land EXACTLY in the middle, where to they bury the survivors?
Wherever their family members wish, years later when they die.

Lol. 7-2 the h2h at RG. And Nadal leads the Slam race as well. Not your finest moment eh

Funny, Novak won 4 of the last 5 slam encounters with Nadal  :-D
10-7 is the H2h at Slam level. At Roland Garros which is the next Major it is 7-2 in favour of Nadal. Nadal holds the Slam record. I wonder who is the happier camper out of the two. Hmmm

The fact that he is still racking them up, despite doing NOTHING all year and it's May is exactly my point.
He did enough last year to justify it. We have a whole system, it's literally as fair as it gets. Or should we add a new rule: "If a #1 doesn't win a tournament by May, he is disqualified from being #1 despite winning the most points"?

Is suddenly 2 slams and a final not enough to be #1 anymore?

It's fine, it won't be much longer ;)

So he just defends around 2000 with wimbledon not having points it means a free fall in ranking coming up and missing us open would make it even worse

He's been number 1 for around 370 weeks (he is the best "number one player" in tennis history, along with Pancho Gonzales and Bill Tilden).

At 35 years old, I think losing the number one in the rankings is not a tragedy for him...

If Djokovic makes the Wimbledon final he will win it but he still won't defend his points since there will be no points for the winner this year.
Which is totally unfair and stupid that NO players will get any ranking points at Wimbledon, thanks to the stupidity of the ATP. Actually, Novak doesn't need any more weeks at #1 as he has many more than Rafa and at least 60 more than Federer. No-one is going to catch that record for a long time.

Considering only Wim + RG points, he loses 3640 already, and after Wimbledon he’s not holding 2000 points from any slam win.

2000-3000 if wimby is worth points

1000-2000 otherwise
seems i got it right

Belgrade F 150
Madrid SF 360
Rome W 1,000
Roland Garros 360

1,870 so far, plus whatever he gets from Queens/Halle/etc, plus nil for Wimbledon

2,370 tops if he wins a grass 500 I guess.
