"The 20-time grand slam winner was attempting to enter the country on a visa that does not permit medical exemptions for being unvaccinated, a source briefed on the matter told The Age and the Herald. Again this has not been confirmed. But yeah hope he gets sent back packing, but not on a technicality as anyone can easily get a copy or overnight the "right" visa.

If having had COvid was a valid exemption reason, then many players (and people who want to access Australia) everyone could exploit that loophole. That's a weak loophole and the authorities with some real power should uphold the meaning of the rules or it's an insult to the very strict rules that their own citizens have had to follow.

That is standard treatment. Usually, people are bundled together in a detention center. Here, he has his own room.

Never heard of tourist, business, or student visas before? You get a different type of visa depending on the reasons for your trip to the country. Although in a lot of cases for travel people just get a standard one without any other fuss. Different if you're going to be making money in the country you're visiting though.
