He didn't declare the boob throw to customs.
We have been taken hostage by selfish boomers that want to add a year or two to their retirement.
I get nervous when official announcements are made like this. I would've expected it to just happen at a random time. This makes me think they are building the case against him. Hopefully I'm just being a paranoid PamNo way they send him back. How could they?

"The 20-time grand slam winner was attempting to enter the country on a visa that does not permit medical exemptions for being unvaccinated, a source briefed on the matter told The Age and the Herald. As a result, Border Force sought Victorian government support to facilitate his entry. The federal agency asked for the Andrews government’s support because Victoria partners with Tennis Australia in running the event that Djokovic’s visa pertains to.
"Federal authorities contacted Victorian departmental officials asking them to formally back his application. Victorian officials asked the federal authorities to put their request in writing and eventually rejected the request to sponsor Djokovic’s visa. The decision not to do so reflects the anger towards Djokovic among Victorian ministers and senior officials. It also highlights their sensitivity to being seen to assist Djokovic’s bid to play at the Open despite his outspoken vaccine scepticism and non-disclosure of the reason for his exemption."
Novak Djokovic visa: World No 1’s entry to Australia denied after 'visa bungle', ahead of Australian Open - Eurosport
World No 1 Novak Djokovic is reportedly being held in a room under police guard after his entry to Australia was delayed due to an issue with his visa.www.eurosport.co.uk
Again this has not been confirmed. But yeah hope he gets sent back packing, but not on a technicality as anyone can easily get a copy or overnight the "right" visa.
Stephen Parnis, a former vice president of the Australian Medical Association, wrote on Twitter: “I don’t care how good a tennis player he is. If he’s refusing to get vaccinated, he shouldn’t be allowed in... If this exemption is true, it sends an appalling message to millions seeking to reduce [the COVID] risk to themselves and others.”
The deputy Victorian Liberal leader, lawmaker David Southwick, fumed in his own tweet: “What a disgrace! We have had 6 lockdowns—schools and small businesses closed, funerals and weddings told not to go ahead, families separated for months on end and now a tennis star gets an exemption... A kick in the guts to every Victorian.”
The outcome will be known in about 2 hrs decision fo be let into Australia - otherwise he is on a flight home
The decision on whether #Djokovic can enter Australia will be made somewhere between 9.30-10 AM local time, which is 10.30-11 PM CET. So, in two hours, more or less.
Logistical problem, so if he goes back home and gets proper visa can he return and compete??The outcome will be known in about 2 hrs decision fo be let into Australia - otherwise he is on a flight home

Wow. I'm guessing you guys have seen the recent news. What a ****ing joke. This is as crushing as it gets for a Novak fan...he isn't gonna play, then he is gonna play, now due to some ******** technicality, he's not going to...Australia is a joke.He got his phone back...hopefully bc they are satisfied with his answers and not bc they're sending him back.
No if they send him home it’s over he doesn’t have enough time. That’s the end to Novak in Oz openLogistical problem, so if he goes back home and gets proper visa can he return and compete??
AO22 starts on 17th Jan there is 11 days . 11 days to get the right visa.No if they send him home it’s over he doesn’t have enough time. That’s the end to Novak in Oz open
Dude, if they turn him around simply bc of the wrong visa, it would be ****ed up on so many levels. Let him get an overnight visa. They'd extend that to many other normal people. He's not their lap dog to make an example of.AO22 starts on 17th Jan there is 11 days . 11 days to get the right visa.

Edit: who TF is Oliver brown?
I hadn't felt bad for him until the backlash from the exemption. Everyone just wanted him to fit into their views. He's not allowed to live the way he wants, but we are the way we want. I'm pro vaccination and think he should've gotten it, but still, the backlash is ridiculous. I don't want to hear about poor Australians and their ********, months-long lockdowns. So many people don't even have electronics, cars, tvs, etc. Get over it. Not everyone is the same.If they send him home technically we can reapply but after all the drama the public backlash and political involvement there is no way he will be participating in OZ open he will withdraw in coming days if sent home that is
This has nothing to do with a due process and rules for medical exception, visas, etc... It has EVERYTHING to do with forthcoming federal elections and witch hunt for Djokovic since Adria tour in the media here, which caused the public uproar. Whoever let's him in now, loses the election... Djokovic is just a pawn in the election game now. Shameful politics...I hadn't felt bad for him until the backlash from the exemption. And where’s your research to back this statement up?Australia has fallen. There are no "Vaccines" for respiratory viruses.
And I'm a RF fan...
At least he was honest about how he was getting into Australia. Do you think it would go different if he did not say it? It was always going to be a no win situation for him. It's not very bright to gloat about getting an exemption to enter a country where 90% of the population don't want you there....before you're in that country.
The AO will carry on just fine without himThe AO will not survive the night if they do.

Indeed, but this response has developed after the uproar in the media, which created a political hot potato that neither federal nor state (Victorian) Government wants in their hands...This is true, but Djokovic has lawyers and there are Australian immigration experts. He could have dealt with this issue back in Serbia.
As a massive Djokovic fan I agree with this. Should have shut up until after the tournamentIt's not very bright to gloat about getting an exemption to enter a country where 90% of the population don't want you there....before you're in that country.

Iit is unquestionably a federal government issue under the Constitution. But Morrison said only yesterday that if the exemption was signed off by Victoria then entry was fine with him.
He then changed his mind without making it public. And now we have a visa issue.
