Like this is the 1st time someone lost their cool on court and were defaulted. Shapovalov is the worst one I have ever seen and we went to bed, woke up the next day and everybody went on with their lives. He is obviously extremely upset since this is the 1st time this has happened and this is a Slam, and instead of saying something regretfully, skipping the press conference is probably the best thing. This has no impact on his image since everyone knows it was an accident and not intentional.

This comparison is so stupid. Actions speak louder than words. If someone on the street said I’m going to kill you and then someone else actually does it, obviously the one who committed the crime gets the harsher punishment. Busta was game today though. Down 4-5 and 0-40, saved 3 set points then came back to break Djokovic in the very next game. Djokovic was getting agitated and spilling errors at that point and going for desperation dropshots. Even falling to the ground after a passing winner from Busta.
From what I saw, any of Thiem, Medvedev or Zverev could've beaten Djokovic.
Quite possibly Djokovic was getting mentally and physically tired at this point. Definitely didn't look like Slam winning form. Just had a weak draw is all.

Disagree - shapo hit the ball so hard it was destined for the moon. Tsitsipas smashes racket against his dad and he plays on. This incident was clearly an accident and not even hit hard - worst decision I’ve seen in this sport
