Wasn't he in the middle of filming one for Amazon in 2016/2017? I swear I remember something like that. I was disappointed when he pulled the plug on that, I find behind-the-scenes stuff fascinating. Will watch this one, too. Loved the one they did on Murray.

I hear they are planning on doing one about Nadal, called the Toilet Break Chronicles: My struggle with the tissue paper at the AO Open.

There's an even better one: TTW Haters Sobbing As They Struggle To Accept Their Idol Being Overtaken By Strong-Era Competition

Longest chronicles ever.

Lol. This guy just can't stop embarrassing himself. Just focus on your game man - the time will come when others gonna make documentaries of your success. Why behave like Kyrgios when you have strong claim for GOAThood.

This from the guy who said he hadn't hit a ball since the Fritz match, and then casually added he'd been practicing.
Do you have quotes? I'd like to see the matter cleared up once and for all. I don't believe him, but I'll like to have solid proof.

Why not, I'd actually be interested in watching. We don't get many of the behind the scenes stuff in tennis.

Why no one comissions a Nadal documentary!? :( Why no one is interested in clay court tennis!?:(
There was a documentary on Rafa , not self commissioned but by French federation and Eurosport scheduled to air after the FO final 2017.
I thought, way to jinx a guy! But, Rafa went on to his Decima.:love:(y)

It was sub titled and a pretty good watch!

They are just jealous that no one is interested to make documentary about Nadal. ;)
I wasn't going to bother responding to this ludicrous statement but then I thought why not. There are loads more but this is enough for you to be getting with.

Rafael Nadal The Comeback Year 2013 - Greatest Comeback in Tennis - Documentary

They started doing a documentary on Djokovic a few years ago that we were all told would be on Amazon, self filme by Novak and his wife but it had to be abandoned because it wasn't very interesting.

Will the documentary include his disqualification from the USO?

Seems no one is interested in making a documentary about Djoker so he is making it himself.

Djokovic suffered an apparent abdominal injury during his third-round win over Taylor Fritz last Friday night. The 33-year-old was injured on a slip during the third set, and he lost both the third and the fourth before surviving in five.

“We took it day by day,” he explained. “When I say ‘we,’ I mean my physiotherapist, my team, doctors here at the Australian Open, physios, ATP physios…. We took it day by day and we just make sure we do everything we possibly can, and we do it in a right way. We time everything rightly so that I could give myself a shot to compete. Each day was progressing and getting better, and so today is best I have felt. Hopefully that will stay the same ’til the finals.”

You know how you know someone's lying?? When they believe their lie so much they can't help but to add more and more details behind it. Good luck on Sunday sir.

How about this one, it was fantastic! I know Muzz gets little love here, but this was incredible viewing:

Think it would be depressing to watch for some reason.

I respect Murray's passion for the game but I don't like watching him as a pale shadow of a player he once was.

I saw it on Eurosport and it was after one of the Bulgarian commentators retold a story (that had apparently been circulating) that Djokovic had been hitting in a private facility within closed doors. Maybe that's an interesting story to substantiate.

Man, I'd LOVE to have that formally confirmed. I've shared many times that normally I try never to let my preference for this or that player get to the point of being salty. In general I do not dislike Djokovic, or even feel any animosity towards him. At times he is an extremely charming man. But this whole "stomach tear" thing is so distorted and over the top that it appears to either be a flat out lie or at least a mistake that was never corrected.

You're just butthurt because nobody is making documentary about Nadal, isn't it!? ;)

It was strange how intent he was to give the injury a great significance. Mind you, that "strange" can easily be substituted with a number of other adjectives. He doesn't need this. Or he does. If he does, then it's obviously sad for him and those near him. Does not make him more likeable, though.

a documentary over a self-misdiagnosis?

weird topic to make a documentary about that's not really what springs to mind when you watch one

I mean, how much can you really talk about to fill the time?

Doesn’t matter when you have snake oil to sell and a legion of kool-aid drinking followers

How sad is it to commission a documentary on yourself, btw? You only do that if you’re desperate to control a narrative. Unfortunately, people need to care to watch it.

I'm going to turn it on everytime I leave my house just so it gets lots of views which will drive people on this board insane.

I don't think he is unlikable, in general. Here is what I do think: Most human beings dig in at times, simply refusing to admit they have said or done something foolish. In my mind he thought, "Oh crap, injury. I may not be able to finish this match, and maybe my whole run here is over even if I win this. I think it's a muscle tear."

That to me would be 100% understandable. I had kidney stones in the past, and not too long ago I thought I had another one. I had back pain in the same area. I was scared. But this time it really was a slight back problem that went away. So I simply said: "I was wrong. Thank God!"

I think once he said what he did, he felt embarrassed to simply say he was wrong, that it was something much less serious.

So that's my take. No one fakes an injury up 2 sets and still even in the 4th.

But I do believe he had ample chances to set the record straight and chose not to.

Yes, Gary, I agree about him probably not willing to backtrack. I was talking more about what his overall modus operandi might be. Maybe he needs to create drama to facilitate a state of mobilisation, siege mentality, if you like. He is odd.

Right. Instead of clarifying, he kept up the suspension. Im injured, im feeling fine, playing with pain, without pain etc.

All mind games really but after so many years and Murray episode no top player will get fooled by it.

The documentary will run sometime before the end of 2021 so it's probably about more than just the fake injury.

If it is mostly about this AO, will it be like a Disney movie with a happy ending or an absurdist art movie with an ending that doesn’t make any sense or is tragicomic?

He confirmed it was a muscle tear after the final.
