Djokovic doesn't do his love gesture to the crowd anymore...

The one where he moves his hands from his chest to all four sides of the court...

My guess is that he finally realized that asking for love was futile so why bother...

I think it was a smart move for him...better to be hated and hold all the records than be something he will never be (loved unconditionally like Roger)...

And that's why Roger ended up third in the race but a billionaire...

'loved unconditionally'?
Nah, it depends whom do you ask. Many people question it. Not everyone has been misled by his PR manicure and his polished business image.
Some people unconditionally trust both Rolex ads and phrases like 'everybody does sth', but the truth is often very different.

It wasn't asking for love, but giving the love... And I agree, he finally realised those bastards do not deserve love...

Hope he continues destroying opponents, and keep Fedal fans in desperation and saltyness, lol... It's quite enjoyable...

I see a lot of these type of statements around here lately.

I wonder if these people realise that inevitably, the curtain will fall for ND as well. I wonder if these posters are going to be prepared for the boomerang effect that no doubtedly will be unleashed. Are you prepared to take it as well as you dish it out?

The higher they are...

Not sure he's thanking god, but rather acknowledging those who were important in his life and career and have passed away.
Which to me is much more praiseworthy than praying to an entity who might or might not be there.

faking continuously can get tiring very fast......but what i am actually surprised is wimbledon with all those seemingly calm and reserved tie wearing old men in stands has made it this difficult even for a person like novak to fake love and throw a few fake boobs......not seen such effortless execution of hate, quite contrast to all the hooligans at us open failing miserably to stop him from throwing boobs even after full day of shouting and interrupting......

It was irredeemably corny.

I imagine someone in his circle finally got a hold of him and said: “bruh, what the f*ck are you doing?!”

Once again, drawing conclusions based on a very little sample of people in a crowd...

Djokovic doesn't need to be loved. He IS loved by MILLIONS of people. A bunch of hypocritical haters booing him at the French Open doesn't change that. And doesn't mean he is "hated". He has more followers and more fans than any of the players in the draw. France and England are just 2 countries, there are other countries with 100x more people (China, India, Brazil for instance), and he is very popular over there.... at the end of the day we don't know how many fans he has around the world.

Federer unconditionally liked? Wrong conclusion again. He has fans like Djokovic and he has haters like Djokovic... and like every players.

It was extremely cringeworthy and one of the main reasons I didn't like him. So to me it's great he doesn't do it anymore, well done to him

I don't think he has done it since 2022 Wimbledon. He did it all tournament and didn't do it in the final, and ironically it was against Kyrgios, who had criticized it. Maybe it wasn't ironic and he kept doing it to annoy people, but after he beat Kyrgios and put him in his place a bit, he didn't worry it about it anymore. Lol. He and Kyrgios are in a much better place these last few years though.

Nobody beats Father Time. Yes, he’ll lose and it’s expected. But he would have pretty much accomplished everything that was expected and would retire as the king. Nothing to complain
