I think playing 250s should be the norm for Djokodal after extended breaks from now on. Instead of risking getting knocked out in early rounds like what happened to them at Monte Carlo or Paris Indoors, it gives them just the right level of opposition to get them match practice over multiple days. I think if Nadal hadn’t played Melbourne 250 he probably wouldn’t have won the AO this year.

He has a good chance to win adelaide, dubai and belgrade this year. Beijing is unlikely to be held, maybe he goes back to Astahana again.

United Cup has so much negativity that I think it's better for him not to participate in negative atmosphere and play Adelaide Open instead where it's fair and he can earn points at the same time.

Its great for tennis and tennis fans in those cities whenever a superstar chooses to play a small tournament.
Hope there's isn't a huge fee involved.

There are two Adelaide International tournaments this year (same as last). He might play the second one. I doubt he will be there on New Year's Day for the beginning of the first tournament.

First few rounds are usually affordable for most people. Quarter final to Final tickets are usually expensive for most people, but if you sit at the back row you can get reasonably cheaper ticket. You can also get a cheap ground pass which lets you walk around the complex and see the players practicing, but it won't let you enter the main stadium.

I don't see ATP 250 Melbourne Summer Set for 2023. There will be 2 ATP Adelaide 250, ATP 250 Auckland and Pune.

Considering how much importance Nadal places on match practice, and how he didn't get his game together until the last RR match at ATP Finals, I hope he plays something after the United Cup.
