First of all, as a massive Federer and Nadal fan ever since their 2008 Wimbledon final (the greatest match ever since both played at their highest level), just the fact that they are going to meet at the business end of this tournament 11 years later makes me so emotional. I honestly had a tear in my eye when that legendary match up was confirmed. They are still improving, which I didn't think was possible. But they are co-GOATs for good reason.

And more importantly, as a TENNIS fan, I hope we witness more history on Friday. We are already guaranteed a fascinating spectacle as the humble RAFA attempts to correct the horrible mistake that was taking the 2nd seed (which was rightfully his) away from him, by beating the guy behind such a corrupt decision. The weather forecasts also make it more dramatic, as we don't know whether we will have an outdoor or indoor Fedal meeting at Claybledon, either one being a historic first.

But what I am saying is, I would like to see these two GOATs of the game take the golden opportunity that Schwartzman's twin brother Isner gave all the players, and bless us all with the first ever 5th set Wimbledon tiebreak at 12-12. And may the best man win...

Federer being No 2 seed was not a corrupt decision. Its just Wimbledon's seeding policy. Its been like that for years.

Easily the best Fedal fan.

I would like Nadal to win, so Novak would have a good chance to improve his GS H2H and GS finals H2H against him.

Also, I would like Fed to win, because he's best player in Wimbledon history and Novak would have a good chance to improve his H2H and grass/Wimbledon H2H against him.

If what you say is true ("I'm a massive Fedal fan"), then you would know that Fed's level in 2008 at Wimbledon was pathetic. And you'd also know that 2010 grass Nadal was much, much better than 2008. 2019 Nadal would routine 2008 Nadal on grass as well.

It's always amazing how often people post here and expose the fact they have no clue about "old" (11 years) matches.

But 2007 Nadal in one of his worst forms took Peak Fedra to 5 sets. This was easily the worst Nadal ever at Wimbledon. 2013 Nadal would have routined 2007 Nadal. Yet there he was almost beating slow grass court GOAT in his own backyard.

LOL. Federer was recovering from mono and was hardly a shadow of his former self.

Highest level BAAH!

Fedr fans seriously can't see a joke post even if Wimbledon trophy hit them in the head.
Doctor/Lawyer Red Devil was havin' some fun.

Agree with this. I have found myself watching old Wimbledon matches on YouTube as I often do when Wimbledon is on and with the Federer Nadal meeting looking likely the other day, I watched a fair bit of that 2008 final and agree that Federer didn't look all that impressive although in fairness, conditions were quite blustery which may have had an impact on the quality. I even posted the other day that I believe Federer quite frankly looks better now than he did then in terms of his all round game. His baseline game was great yesterday I thought.

What do you think? Is it true?

I mean, you're not a new user, so how do you still not notice when someone is not being serious? :D

Real Djoko fanboys hope for death or at least injuries of both players during 5th set. Free trophy!

Instead of a final match we all can watch Djoko easting grass and throwing hearts at empty seats for 2h 13m.

Whoever Djokovic fans want to win out of Fedal shows who they believe is the lesser player as clearly they want the guy who has less chance v Djokovic.

The poll above suggest most Djoker fans want Federer, which is a backhanded compliment (and a massive one as its grass) to Nadal. Thanks guys...if roles reversed id want Federer to beat Novak as well. Mutual respect and fear lol.
