I’m curious among my fellow Djokovic fans, as the sun sets on Novak’s career and the Sinner/Alcaraz rivalry begins to blossom, whom do you find yourself preferring?

I see a lot of Djokovic fans becoming de facto Sinner fans because his game style shares more similarities with Nole’s than Alcaraz’s does, but this actually drives me further from Sinner. I see Sinner as a sort of B/B+ Djokovic—he’s obviously an aggressive baseliner, but he doesn’t play with quite the depth, width, or angles with which Novak could play. He hits the crap out of the ball—probably harder on average than Novak does/did—but he doesn’t play that clinical, platonically perfect brand of tennis of deep groundstrokes 1-2 feet off the baseline which I fell in love with watching Novak. He makes more UEs than Novak did. I will say, Sinner’s movement makes me blush. I am in love with his movement.

I also find Alcaraz a lot more similar to Nole in temperament/disposition—wears his heart on his sleeve, shows his frustration. Sinner is so seemingly indifferent to tennis, he never shows his frustration (perhaps he has none, which isn’t an issue, just not something that endears him to me personally). Alcaraz has shown reverence to Novak as well, which has (sheepishly) made me more of a fan.

Note that this isn’t an insult to Sinner or his game, he plays amazing tennis, and I’m unsure who will have the better career between him and Alcaraz. Just my two cents on whom I prefer and for whom I root.

Neither.

I like them both, but slight edge to Alcaraz. But cheer them both, they produce the best level right now and its entertaining to watch.

Carlos all the way, Janik is a great kid but Panatta, Pietrangeli and Ubaldo Scanagatta are really irritating cheerleaders. El Cid (Carlos Alcaraz) is the youngest Spanish hero.

For me, as a Nole fan, the best case scenario is that Carlos and Jannik will compete evenly for the Grand Slam titles and one doesn't allow the other to reach 24. So I will prefer whoever is currently lagging behind in the number of Grand Slams.

Yeh also this. But I don’t think either will get 20

Not for Sinner, especially not after he did not take responsibility for the doping scandal.

Since August of this year, Alcaraz has been my choice.

Freaking neither. I just won't bother with those matches. Zverev, Musetti, Felix, Tsitsipas.

Again , Sinner proved you wrong, son! I told you million times that he is the chosen one set to dominate the men's tennis.
Two years older and two slams lesser, alright, I’m not and never have been a hardcore Alcaraz fan but Sinner Stans are something else, Really forces you to choose sides. The side of rationality.

Overall, Sinner. Though given recent events I'd prefer Carlos to take him out here and there in the near future if they meet.

Many Djoker fans don’t “love” neither of them (neutral that is). They actually prefer Sinner winning more at this point.

It is really simple math: Alcaraz is 1.5 yrs younger and 2 GS ahead. If he dominates Sinner in the next 10 yrs, he may threaten “Big 3” legacy, may even alter GOAT conversation. Sinner has much less a chance doing so being 23 yrs old already and (only) 2 GS titles in hand. So I prefer Sinner winning more than Alcaraz at this point.

My prediction for career GS title count for Alcaraz & Sinner: 1) Alcaraz can reach Sampras level, 14 (plus minus 2 meaning 12-16, more likely 14-16); 2) Sinner can reach Lendl/Agassi level, 8 (plus minus 2 meaning 6-10, more likely 7-9).

Sinner has more slams than Djokovic at same age. And Djokovic is the goat. So nothing is impossible

How many GS titles Borg, Connors, Mac, Sampras, Agassi, **JIM COURIER** have had by age 23? They ALL had more than Djokovic at that age. What is total count for all of them (and others I missed) in the end?

“Nothing is impossible” - so does winning lottery. Mathematical possibility is always there for you

This is a repeat of Ferrer - Berdych for me, couldn't care less. Can't like or dislike any of them too much. Carlos probably takes it, just because he doesn't do those racket shakes after every single point.
