It could have been a better day for me, but nevertheless I’m leaving Paris with warm heart and great memories. Every experience makes me stronger and better. I move on to the next challenge with the highest hopes. Always aiming the big trophy at the end while picking up some valuable lessons on the way. Just like today. Congrats for incredible run Rafa! We’ll meet again... :) I have this special song for you my friends - thank you for believing in me all the way!

wow is despicable bench busting Rolaids threatening San Rafael?

"Congrats for incredible run Rafa! We’ll meet again... :) "

Translation: You did great on clay rafa! But when we meet again, you overrated single surface wonder, it won't be on clay. I look forward to kicking your arse!

How unsportsmanlike of Nole!

Just what I was thinking. Very unsportsmanlike post and I hope that ATP is watching. A $5 million fine and suspension from the remaining 2 majors ought to do the trick.

This is a bad sign for Perriervic fans. The very best, or those that go on to be the very best in any sport, HATE losing. They may not overtly show it sometimes, but they sure as hell wouldn't seemingly be so happy-go-lucky this soon after losing a major final.

I'd love it if it was just one word:

"...bugger..."

It amazes me how gracious he is after his losses, his handshakes at the WTF last year for instance looked like he was meeting foreign diplomats for peace talks.

Lyrics to Guetta's song that Novak wanted to dedicate to Nadal. Nice sense of humor!

David Guetta - Without You
===================================
I can't win, I can't reign
I will never win this game
Without you, without you

I am lost, I am vain,
I will never be the same
Without you, without you

I won't run, I won't fly
I will never make it by
Without you, without you

I can't rest, I can't fight
All I need is you and I,
Without you, without.... You!

Oh oh oh
You you you
Without
You you you
Without you..

Can't erase, so I'll take blame
But I can't accept that we're
Estrange
Without you, without you

I can't quit now, this can't be right
I can't take one more sleepless night
Without you, without you

I won't soar, I won't climb
If you're not here I'm paralyzed without you, without you

I can't look, I'm so blind
Lost my heart, I lost my mind without you without... You!

Oh oh oh
You you you
Without
You you you
Without you..

I am lost, I am vain,
I will never be the same
Without you, without you, WITHOUT YOU

I see Nole is learning well, from the GOAT, how to hide his arrogance.

Best loser maybe but he is an awful awful winner; lets hope he doesn't run around like a caveman with his shirt off if he wins Wimbledon because it won't go down well.

Djokovic is a more gracious loser than Nadal, while Nadal is a more gracious winner.

Djokovic has been far warmer to Nadal when he lost to him than vice versa, while similarly Nadal conducts himself much better when he wins.

Very classy sportsman. The best of all probably. Often applauds an opponent's good shot and gave Rafa that point in the final that the umpire had ordered to be replayed.

Classy.

Yes, so much class. So much class in flinging his racket. So much class in smashing a bench, so much class. The classiest player I have ever seen. So much class in tearing off his shirt, so much class in imitating people. I honestly don't know who has more class, him or his parents.

What is exactly the definition of classy? The word is thrown around so often, I forget what it is anymore...

Sick of the old arguments about pulling his shirt off/screaming. The screaming is not arrogance or a "look who's king" routine. He is a really emotional person. It's his thing, he is screaming for himself, not even thinking about surroundings. He does it after very close matches( didn't do it after Wimbledon or USO). It's an inner scream even though it's projected outward. He's reassuring himself that he can do this, that he can be good enough to beat top players in close matches. It's a release mechanism for him after a tight and stressful match. It might be unsavoury to look at but I cannot fault it when I know that it does not come from a bad place and that he means insult to no-one by it whatever some might think. I'm also certain Djokovic would not be offended in the slightest if another player did a similar celebration when he lost. I don't think falling to your knees and sobbing should be seen as superior to screaming. Everyone has the right to celebrate as comes naturally to them as long as they are not intentionally trying to offend the oppponent.

Nadal for me is inconsistent in his reactions. He not only hugs the loser when he wins, he sometimes takes it upon himself to go over to the player's bench and pat them on the back( Djokovic USO '10 and Nalbandian Miami '12). A player has the right to deal with a loss in their own space rather than having to accept the victor's comforting at a point after the net. Nadal's patting on the back would be fine if he was willing to do it in loss too but no, that's a brief handshake and trying to avoid any hugs that may be coming. The fact he tries to get away quickly in loss makes his sometimes thing of patting the loser on the back in their own space even more of a contradiction.

Being the "best loser" somehow sounds like a veiled insult.

I wouldn't be too happy to be called that TBH.
By that, I mean he's the most gracious in defeat. I can't say so for Fedal; they're gracious in victory, but that's easy by comparison.

For me, the two most gracious players in defeat are Roddick and Djokovic.

now some guys here are just never happy, no matter what. losing the final of RG that he wanted so much, and then being able to post something like this is VERY CLASSY in my book. did he have to? no ...

some of you guys need to learn that we all have different personalities. Djoko is not Federer and he shouldn't be ... he is who he is...

and f.uck, If I could win a GS, I would tear off my underwear, got naked and run around the court, lol ... when you win, celebrate any way you want to, who cares?
