Djokovic Fires Team!

wow... didn't check into TT due to extremely busy stuff at work and now this.

If Novak should fire anyone it should be Pepe the b****** & his non-cooperating wife.

I think Novak is done for good.

Ugh.. can't find a way to post a tweet properly here, so the plain URL will have to do. Yesterday, Pepe Imaz "escorting" Djokovic in Madrid

Animating pepe for pame:D

Just saw this on YouTube from ATP Tour, published today, mentioning the "recent changes":

Don't know if it's the lighting or what but Novak looks "healthier" in this clip. And a bit too "paz" as well, probably because he's just coming off the Amor camp.

Really looking forward to his first match at Madrid.

We DO know that Pepe is still on his team. Pepe and his brothers are in Madrid. They ARE his team. For some reason you have long refused to believe the stories about the troubling influence Pepe has had on Novak and have called his fans 'loons'. Maybe his fans are following news about Novak much more than you are and actually know what they're talking about.

I'm not a Djokovic fan but I've heard many many stories about Novak and Jelena and how goofy they've been for the last year in public, especially in Serbia, and Pepe is in the middle of all of it. What's been posted on this forum is just a small sample of what's actually been going on.

More details for those of us who can appreciate the seriousness of this situation?

ok that's giving me a fish; now you need to show me how to fish. PM me how it's done.. I can't see anything from the codes quoting you.
Its not so easy. I used a program called Licecap to record the gif to file in my dropbox (just got that a few days ago and better program available for Mac). Once in dropbox you share, but must replace dropbox.com address section with dl.dropboxusercontent.com. (This seond part is easy I always capture stubborn photos this way postimage tool and print screen button, etc.) I am hosting this image.;)

So what if Pepe is on Djokovic's team though? It doesn't mean Djokovic has turned into some walking zombie who has no mind of his own. That's simply ridiculous.

As for his fanatics following news about Djokovic closely, that doesn't mean they know what they are talking about. They are called fanatics for a reason and unless you are living with Djokovic or are a close member of his family or a close friend, one has no idea what's really going on with him. So no, fanatics are the last people I listen to or believe.

For me, Djokovic approaching age 30 was always going to have a fall off period. I was saying that last year when he was still winning slams and many of his fans thought it would go on forever. Well, it looks like I was right because here it is and here we are. But do I think he is completely done for good and will never win another title? It's possible but I doubt it as long as he still has the motivation to continue. I'm not a fan of his so for all I care he could go off the deep end, retire tomorrow and join a cult but I think there are more overreactions and nonsense posted on this board from panicky fans more than anything else. Time will tell and we'll see.

Lawdy! I have no prob trying out something for size (I used to teach apps/troubleshoot/build puters), but that does seem a heap of trouble to go to. I suspect I'll settle for plain URL, and trust that TTW will put some pressure on their software providers to include some code to do it easily. In the meantime, thanks and tip of the hat for being so persistent and determined to find a way :)

This whole thing is just so bizarre - like what age is the brother??! What qualifies him to be watching over Nole?!

Then again you never know - Nole might surprise everyone

My goodness cc0509, you tempt me into recalling "I think the gentleman doth protest too much>" :p

What am I protesting too much of? I am not a Djokovic fan but some of these hyperboles from his fans or from people who dislike him are mostly complete nonsense. I mean have you seen some of those insane posts saying Djokovic has been taken over by Pepe and has no mind of his own or that he is being controlled by his evil wife? These are insane posts by people who have no clue what's really going on. The guy has won 12 slams. I think he knows best how to manage his career. Maybe he no longer has motivation to work as hard as he did before and will never win another title but I doubt it especially with this disgusting weak field. We'll see.

Why is Twitter so Fort Knox about its media files? Really annoying that they encrypt stuff that way.

Well XenForo needs to link to twitter for sure with all the tennis stuff showing there.

LOL. That gif I made was over 20 mb in size and I hit my daily limit of 20GB worth of hits on dropbox. Pepe maxed me out with as many as 1000 hits.:D All my links are temporarily disabled.:( Pepe has been reduced to 300kb file so hopefully that will keep me safe. I may have to kill Pepe.

Imaz: "It was worth it, my son. Amor y Paz is hugging the world so tight that all hosting sites must unite to withstand the pressure."

I host a lot of other stuff. Pepe is on death row.:D
My first "easy" animated gif capture not so good.

He's a lover, not a fighter. Seems he could have courteously requested that the Madrid media folk compress the video clip into an easily disseminated format, rather than necessitating some elaborate techy workaround resulting in the revocation of posting privileges. Sheesh.

It sucks the way certain simple things are made so awkward. I cannot explain why. Like WWE coming up with their own language. It's not a title, it's a championship. :/

Time has told quite a lot, and we've seen quite a lot. Djok is driving around in Pepe's Smart Car, having him around constantly, and has fired everyone who was dedicated to his tennis game...which has gone in the crapper. It looks bizarre and kooky to everyone but you, I just wonder what would be enough evidence to convince you at this point?

This whole thing is just so bizarre - like what age is the brother??! What qualifies him to be watching over Nole?!

Scientology (another cult) assigns "minders" to its members so that they are alone with outsiders as little as possible. The brother is the one who brought Pepe in, one can assume he's a true believer and is there to keep Novak on The Path.

Like we all had predicted, Pepe and his brother are his team now.

My question is, where is his hard headed father in all this ? You would of assumed that his father would of told everybody, including wife, brother, Pepe to take a hike, and leave Nole alone. Wht hasn't he ?

Djokovic will retire by the end of the year. He should anyway.

What a waste. What a bad stigma on his legacy. He will be a laughing stock by the end of all this.

I am so dissapointed, as a fan.

No titles for Novak the rest of this year. This is the craziest thing in the last 20 years absolute tennis suicide.
Agree. He will not win a thing, and is headed for retirement. Unbelievable stuff.

I will say this. No serious coach will touch him with a 10 foot pole.

Am I the only person who wonders why this guy never shaves now?

It just looks sloppy...
It's fashionable now to have 2/3 beard
It probably has something with the fact that you even subconsciously don't like Djokovic
I guess you never said that Federer looked like sloppy old beggar with the beard, or middle-age questionable personal hygiene
islamic terrorist (which I would say to his bearded look);)

No, it has something to do with the fact that I am old. ;)

When I was growing up no one went around with a few days growth. If you did, you looked like you were coming off a bender. ;)

But the other guys mostly seem to shave between tournies and just get sloppy looking before finals.

I don't like the look though. I don't care who it is. I'm sure in this way I am hopelessly old-fashioned...

I forgot to mention that for me a couple days growth itches, and the worst of it is in the neck area. In two to three days it scratches when I move my head up or down, very annoying. I never got past that awkward period. I don't shave on Friday or Sunday, my two days off, and by the next day it gets very annoying.

Why do you think that does not bother a tennis player, with all the sweating?

I wouldn't know (I'm a girl);)
Personally most of the time I prefer clean shaven man too:)

Well, the "natural" look seems about as pleasant as "the natural smell"!

But does it ever seem like a lack of personal hygiene to you? To me it just seems careless, lazy, like a man can't decide what he wants to do with his growth. ;)

It depends on whole look/image of a man (at least my perception of it)

I spent 1 h looking into Pepes philosophy. Seems like Pepe definitely is some kind of a Guru. Its a lot of focus on him and his views on life. He has some kind of tennis school, but since he is currently travelling with Novak Im not sure how big that school is. Novaks brother, Marko, is very involved in that school too, and he is travelling w Novak as well. Pepe is similar to spiritual leaders who don't say they are a leader or a Guru, but from the outside they definitely are a spiritual leader as they follow the principles.
Pepe talk about the ego that creates suffering and love is the answer. Very similar to what other spiritual leaders says. The students often think the leader is enlighten and something very special.
If Novak manage to win slams again with this "no ego" mentality he might the first one doing so.
Agassi had Tony Robbins as a mental coach, and was a big part of his late success. But a very different approach.

Maybe they held an intervention re: Pepe, and then Novak fired them all.
Won't surprise me. I've seen people I know become irrational after joining cults. This could be cultlike influenced behaviour. Would not be surprised if he cuts his family from the list next. Ironic that his original beliefs are in direct contrast from what Pepe is teaching...like a wolf in sheeps clothing.

Rafa and Federer should intervene...they need Djoker...just like Batman needs Joker...As for Novak wanting "his spark back" does not mean he should literally search for it through "shock therapy".

That's actually funny post (esp part about" spark back" and "shock therapy" literally:D)
And no Fedal don't need Djokovic, in absence of his old great game they racking up titles (esp Federer)

Is anyone on this board optimistic about his move? I would love to hear from you! Whilst I agree with the trend of the thread it would be good to hear a different perspective.
