He hurt a hamstring in his left leg during the 1st set of the SF against Medvedev.
Took a MTO after the game #7, was forced to take the anti-inflammatories, needed to stretch a lot.

Nothing to see here, it actually got better during the match

It's usually the case with most injuries and muscle extensions, isn't it? You can use medications to help and warm it up immediately, but once it cools off, it's gonna be a lot worse. Novak's real test is tomorrow.

If its not torn, it will be after Rafa rips it at the AO (y)

True. But if it was serius, he wouldn't have played on.

LOL,, he's done.. Time for Holger Rune to Rule.......................................... :-D :-D

Oof, hopefully it’s not as bad as Tiny Carl’s. Based on how they both slide and stop so much on HC I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often.

Did you guys even watch the second set? He was moving around the court as good as ever, arguably better than normal in some points. I think we should watch his performance in the final before we jump to any false conclusions.

Yes. Lets see how the final goes. His body will cool down after the semi, so he can see where he is at. The final will show us everything.

It seems it's still not over.

Injured then beats med convincingly and korda in a long 3 set match. Regardless of the injury itself, the outcome has been beneficial. These are promising signs for a dominating AO win.

It could be that he wasn’t faking an injury as much as he got some discomfort and wanted to address it directly before playing on. If you’re a fan of other sports such as basketball and football where guys look like they’re on their death beds and then after a TV timeout come back playing at peak intensity… this stuff is nothing new. It doesn’t have to black and white, it can be a minor thing without being totally faked.

Alexa:
“I’m just glad it wasn’t an abdominal tear.”
