Djokovic seemed to be recovering from illness earlier in the tournament. He seemed healthy on the day he lost to Sinner and no one knows why he seemed so emotionally detached and sprayed so many unforced errors into the net and wide which he rarely does. I suspect it is a personal life issue similar to what happened in his loss to Querrey at 2016W.

Djokovic also seemed to be waiting for Sinner’s level to drop which never did. By the time he realized this and upped his own level, it was too late to comeback.
