Jelena is apparently into this New Age stuff even more than Djoko is. She went to S America by herself last summer and stayed at a couple of communes where she became one with the earth and stuff like that.

This isn't new news. I'm surprised it's only making English language media (and TW) now. It's big in Serbia and many of his fans are very distressed about how weird he and Jelena have become.

Ok. That's not good.

I said this a few days ago, after a post of them "medidating". I said that his wife is starting to have an adverse affect on him. At least on his game.

This has to stop, and should stop SOON.

Djokovic is a Warrior. Warriors don't meditate (or at least they don't show it). They "eat concertina wire, and **** napalm".

Gunny Highway, does not approve.

Hmmmmm maybe Spain infiltrated Djokovic's camp or Marko wanted Novak to love instead of to win?

Maybe Novak feels for Marko's depression and wants to show he cares for Marko and then joins Marko in this meditation world?

Maybe just a mid life crisis?

It's sad to hear something like that. I wouldn't be suprised if Jelena and Novak have more than one guru on their payroll.

I can understand seeing a sport psychologist, even an exorcist when necessary. Tennis is a mental game, and we all have our demons. But a 'guru'??? That is just not proper. That reeks of weakness. Al Bundy does not approve.

and or desperation?
How can you be desperate after playing the greatest tennis we have ever seen at the beginning of 2016 (think back to AO), going on to win FO (completing the NCYGS), and even reaching the final of the USO (even through he walked through a couple of matches).

A dip I understand. The body might not be willing. Needing a rest etc.

But going to a Guru, of sorts, means that there are other forces at work here. Someone has his ear, and it is to his detriment. I think it is Jelena. She seems to be wanting to be seen as a new Opera Winfrey, and the fallout is covering Novak.

Djokovic looks haggard in those pictures, not a trace of his lively personality. It's obvious this spiritual BS takes a toll on him mentally but he keeps doing it. I'm certain that someone who's very close to Novak is influencing him. They need to stop because it doesn't do him any good.

The level Djokovic has been playing at, has been out of this world, I agree. But when a player peaks, that player instinctively knows it cannot last. Maybe he is desperate to cling onto his peak, and in doing so, making some weird choices, or at the very least not keeping his pimp hand strong.

If Jelena is behind all this, and the New Age stuff is true, then I don't see how this is going to end well.

Guru!? Well this is not the first time with Djokovic! He already had that Cetojevic guy, in 2011 in his team. Let's see how this new guru thing will turn out this time around. But things doesn't look very bright at the moment, tbh...

Holy kaka...his situation sounds dire. I hope we're all just overreacting... i just want to slap him across the face. Where the hell is Troicki? Why doesn't he give Djoker some of his rage and angst. He sure has some to spare. Djoker stood by Troicki when he needed him, Troicki needs to return the favor. I'm reminded of this commercial...

I'm curious though. What could this 'guru' possibly do for Djokovic that he (Djokovic) hasn't already done? I mean, what more can he do?

Maybe he can revail him the tactics of how to beat Wawrinka in their next slam match! More love, more hugging, more energy from the ground and the trees, and voila, Stanimal is going down!

Spoken like someone who has never had a long term relationship?

All this blaming of Jelena is ridiculous tbh, Djokovic is his own man and jumping to conclusions is silly.
She is bigger than him, no? Djokovic is not really a big guy.

He surely has lost it. Seems like his mind is more focused on this than training and winning again. Something has gone terribly wrong. He needs to find the happiness on court again, because he sure looks miserable on court for the past months.

Novak has been into yoga & meditation for a long time. Before his 2015 season.
Maybe. But it has taken over his being. He has gone full monty, on it. Going vegan etc. It's taking it's toll, and it shows physically.

He is too "in your face" with his "lifestyle" choices, and this cannot be good.

He needs to snap out of it.

Let me declare first that I am an active atheist (afaithist?) and that all this guru BS makes me want to throw up. But...

If Novack is happier with his guru, well, why not? At least it's not harming anyone. And if this means he's not into tennis that much, who are we to criticize him? The guy doesn't owe any of us anything, even to his fans.

I think what we're forgetting is that it's one thing to be a professional tennis player. It's another thing to be in the spotlight for a bit. But none of that applies to Djokovic. What he's going through is way more than any of that.

when you're number one, and have been for a long time, and people start telling you that you could be better than Federer and unseat him as the GOAT, well, that kind of celebrity can be a bit much for someone. That kind of celebrity is something you don't train for. For most, it's a crap shoot. But for Djokovic, it's right in his face -- and he seems to not be able to handle it like Federer has.

He seems to be crumbling under the pressure and expectations of being the best. People no longer root for him to win -- they expect him to win. That kind of pressure isn't something he's clearly ready for, and it is taking its toll.

Plus, everyone's gunning for him. He's got so many points to lose and people have been chipping away at his ranking all year long.

It is now way more than just "tennis". Getting onto the court to play a match is really furthest from his mind right now, unfortunately. There was a time when that was the biggest, most important thing. But now, this most important thing to him is keeping it together -- emotionally.

Djokovic needs to rest recover and start playing well. Nothing else needed.

All this is complete BS. He should stop this non-sense. This is not going to take him anywhere. just put your mind and focus on the player across the net.

I can clearly see that RG has taken a big toll on Djokovic mentally.

Thanks Nadal and Wawrinka!

I was surprised too, that video has been up on YT since August

He's making excuses. No guru can replace meldonium, you know.

Can you prove his bad results after FO are due to vegan diet and new age philosophy?
