Djokovic hinting at a Boris Becker firing

I wouldn't call it a bad year. He finally won Roland Garros, and besides the season with 2 GS can't be bad.

It was a very poorly ran tournament this year, scheduling etc. Still cant believe they made ferrer play 2 hours and 1 min so they didnt have to give refunds

One person we can agree Djokovic is not firing ... Am i right? Huh? Huuhhhhhh?

Tells you everything about the standards Djokovic has set when people are trying to make his 2 Slam season look as something unimpressive.

Djokovic definitely needs to change something since things are going off course at the moment, but I dont think it is the coach. He needs to get hungry again. Looking at him play against Del Potro at the Olympics, Wawrinka at the Open, Fish at Wimbledon, I saw the same thing, he is missing the internal drive of a beast to win he usually has. He needs to get that back and I think there is a good chance he will, but I dont think a coaching change will solve anything.

He is not hinting anything trolls . They sign contract per season ,it was signed for 2014,2015,2016.

This year, Djokovic has lost one more match than this time last year. Which was the best year anyone's laid down since Laver. Djokovic isn't falling of a steep cliff
Granted, the cliff is steep, because no-one else can get up there, but Novak isn't getting down from there, anytime soon, and certainly not by accelerating off the edge

O absolutely he will still be somewhere at the very top, but the problem is his age. Federer is perfect example of it, after 30 for some reason your body changes a lot, and you just can't do a lot of things that you used to do.
Djokovic only have Murray to worry about and nobody else. Federer is way too old to play 3+ sets, Nadal is falling apart, Delpo still struggling, Wavrinka,Nisikori, Raonic, etc are 2+ levels below him. Kyrgios,Thiem,Zverev just barking but not biting. In this kind of competition its a shame that he dont have at least 20 GS by now. Just look at this masters in Shanghai, before the even quarterfinal starts, the only top 10 players left are Novak and Andy. Thats why i can see him be around for a while.

Trolls??? You low-life, the title of the article says it... people here are simply analyzing, some go off course, but mainly analyzing... get a grip your boy's demise is on the horizon

Oh.

Djokovic needs a reality check. I don't like Becker but it's not his fault that Djokovic is almost 30 years old. If Djokovic thought he was gonna keep winning everything forever then let me just say LOL to that.

He won't win everything forever but he still has some time to win some big things. I mean look at these younger players!

It seems like we will have many more Murray-Djokovic finals in our future.

Yeah, it was a really bad year for Djokovic.

Compared to 2015 it was. The point is he will still win big titles but will he dominate the way he did in 2015 as he ages? He's lucky that the younger generations are so feeble at the moment and that he's still good enough to take advantage. Nadal isn't good enough to do so any longer.

Even if it ends, it has been an awesome partnership. Winning 6 out of 12 slams, Becker brought something to the table that made it better than 2011-13 which resulted ONLY in 5 slams. But here, we have 4 on a trot too. Superb team.

He's said a number of things recently on various subjects. He publicly criticised Novak for losing focus after winning RG. He just can't help blabbing to all and sundry about all sorts of matters including things he should probably be a bit more discrete about.

Shouldn't it be "discreet", or am i getting US and UK spellings mixed up. We use "discrete" to mean (roughly) distinct/separate.

edit: you used "discreet" in your previous post. Maybe just a typo ?

What did Nole expect anyway from someone famous for that broom closet incident :D

The last thing Alex Zverev needs is the hot-headed Becker. He needs somebody who can keep his emotions in check. That last display against Tsonga was disgraceful and I hope the ATP fines him $25K.

Yes trolls.
You troll(annoying one nadal/t/a/r/d ) called me low life because of what ? Rooting for wrong guy?
The title of the article says media spin, Djokovic/Becker contract is per season as they singed at beginning of 2014.

Dont get your panties in a twist, brother. Anyone who can see with half an eye could notice how pathetic the crop of players is right now. Take a look without your colored lenses and give yourself a shot to look at it objectively mate.
Make sure you send me a postcard when you get there. ;)

No biggie if they split, only if BB could keep his mouth shut until Novak retires.

Becker has given a lot to Djokovic's game - serve, improved slice and transition game, a guy like Novak knows how to play he'll be just fine with Vajda. That is assuming there is a problem, I'll wait for something official.

Boris failed in attempt to protect Djokovic from media and tennis establishment bias against him. On the contrary , when he came close to break some records that are made for ages, it became even worse.

Serve improvement was remarkable, now it falling apart. Novak approaches to 2010 level of serving.

IMO, especially at this point, I think Novak is wasting the money he pays Becker. I doubt there is now anything more Becker can add to Novak's game. I believe that Novak won 6 slams before Becker and that he can win another few, with or without Becker.

Becker is really doing nothing except for wearing sponsored apparel in the crowds. I wouldnt be surprised to find out that Becker pays Nole to be his coach.

You are quite right. I meant to say 'discreet' as in the meaning of tactless or lacking circumspection. 'Discrete' just means to be different or separate from. My apologies for using the incorrect alternative of the word.

That he'd learned his lesson? ;)
