Djokovic hit just 34 winners vs. Musetti, while courageous Alcaraz hammered 55 winners vs. Medwall and only allowed 38 points to go beyond 9 shots!

Alcaraz 55 winners, 37 unforced errors vs. Medvedev
Djokovic 34 winners, 31 unforced errors vs. Musetti

Still, Alcaraz was determined not to get into the kind of stretched-out baseline points Medvedev loves. Only 38 of the semifinal's 244 points lasted nine or more shots.
"I tried not to play long rallies. I tried to hit slices, drop shots. Tried to go the net as much as I can," Alcaraz said. "Tried not to play his game."

If Djoko won his matches by number of clean winners, he would be Tsonga, lol.
There is so much more to tennis than that
Yep, there is retrieving skills, and Alcaraz is better than Djokovic at that now.
Athleticism, power, and clutchness to the max.

This is my worry the 37 might look 40+ year old on Sunday, do you reckon Mr 24 time can put in a decent fight and force a 4th set?
I hope so, because there is nothing more anti-climactic than a straight sets final.

Don't think Med will ever beat Alcaraz at Wimbledon.
Alcaraz just seemed to be toying with the hapless Mad Russian. Raz just raises his level at will.
What a brutal beatdown.
:(

Djokovic did exactly what he needed to do in order to win. Smart and controlled aggression - not necessarily going for outright winners all the time, but hitting precise and forcing shots. In the end, it was more straightforward than I expected this match to be

Whats your thoughts on how the match on Sunday will go? Carlos in 4 tight sets?

One guy is 21, the other is 37. And who does hit as many winners as Carlos!

Djokovic shrinks the court, Medvedev extends the court.

Alcaraz will have a much tougher time on Sunday, though If he reigns it in. Wins in 4.

Father time is undefeated.

It will be like 2015 Wimbledon final, beating up an older hobbled man.

Federer was 33 in the W 2015 final, Novak is 37 in the W 2024 final.

Federer won 3 Slams and played 5 Slam finals after the W 2015 final. You see Djokovic winning 3 more Slams or reaching 5 more Slam finals?

A proper comparation would be this is like 2019 Federer, as he was 37 years old (nearing 38), like Djokovic who's 37 now.

As a Fed fan I learned one thing. It does not matter how or why you win points, it matters WHEN. Djoker knows that better than anyone.
That's why Alcaraz is undefeated in Slam Finals and 12-1 in 5-setters.
Alcaraz = the most clutch man ever to walk the earth, or 2nd only to Michael Jordan.
The pressure doesn't get to Alcaraz because he knows its ok to make errors, when he's hitting winners galore...
