Djokovic is 16 years older than Alcaraz and 14 years older than Sinner

Federer just gifted him the title. Clearly shows that Federer had the mental block vs Djokovic. Federer was choking like this when he was young too had a match point vs Safin and just tried to hit a tweener on a crucial match point. Federer’s game plan at match points and break points sucks. 2011 French Open had a set point vs Nadal but instead of playing rallies and expecting an error from Nadal he was too desperate to end the point so just chipped it over the net only for nadal to hit back winner. Federer never learned his lessons and was just too confident on his talent.
I agree. I pointed this out to Fed fans but obviously they didn’t like it. Feds own stubbornness and choking at times cost him a few more wins against djokodal as well as close matches against Safin, delpo, etc.

It was not purely just due to age like they want us to believe.

That Djokovic won because he was younger and fitter with more endurance ??
No, Djokovic won because he was more prime-time (with apologies to Deion Prime-Time Neon Sanders) than Federer for Wimbledon and other slam championships!

Note that Federer held more match-points against Djokovic in non-slam matches, and never once did Djokovic overcome them!

Federer’s Era - 2003 Wimbledon to 2010 Australian Open, Djokovic’s Era - 2011 Australian Open to 2023 US Open - It’s a Proof that Djokovic’s Game is better than Federer’s as his peak lasted Longer.
If Djokovic was absent from the tour, then Federer years would extend to 2014, 15 and 19. That's what actually happened in 2017!

Wimb 2019 was pretty age-related. 40-15 wasn’t even his worst blunder
No, it wasn't, why did age stop Federer from closing with an emphatic match point? Oh I got it, your argument could be that age inhibited Federer from advancing to 3 match points, instead of a paltry double match points that he had to actually deal with! You got a convincing salient point there!

Federer definitely would close a 40-0 deal, but not a paltry 40-15 deal! Wow, you finally convinced me that age absolutely broke Federer! Even when Federer was just a sparkling young 29-year-old, as in the '10 US SF!

In the '10 US SF, Federer should've waited until a tie-break in the fifth, then he could've enjoyed 6 match points, instead of the paltry double match points, that he rightly sniffed at! Nobody could blow 6 match points!

not even a Fred fan but he contended from 2011-2019 against the other 2 and only came out with 4 slams.

and despite what some Fred fans say, Fred showed some excellent level of play from 2011-2019 that warranted more than 4 slams. He had more freak losses than Djokovic for sure but the times he was good, the other 2 were on the other side of the net.

Djokovic...lol he should count his fortune Alcaraz and Sinner came late to the party, he's only had 2 years to contend with them.

This comparison ain't even close.

Once is a freak, twice a trend, and thrice a pattern!

Mac lost his last 5 matches against Edberg after he turned 30 or thereabouts. Edberg also leads 2-1 in slam matches.

Wilander leads 3-2 in slam matches vs Mac too.

Not to mention his last victory against either of them came when he was 30. Didn’t beat them again after.

Age is significant at one point when one player gets older, while the other is still in his prime. Djokovic started taking control of the rivalry with Fed after the latter was 32. Very few have played top level tennis at or after that age. Connors was on the losing side of his match-ups with Lendl and Mac after he turned 30 and his longevity was incredible.
In McEnroe's time, players were usually done at 30. Besides, the last 3 matches happened when McEnroe was ranked outside the top 15 or top 20. In two of those, Edberg was the #1 player and in the other he was #3. So he should have been beating McEnroe because he was just the better player. McEnroe still was beating them at 27, 28 and 29 when players' careers were winding down, and again he won the head to heads.

You can't equate what 32 meant in the big 3 era to what it meant when Connors and McEnroe were playing. It's like comparing apples with oranges. Federer was a far better player at 32 than McEnroe was, and I've already said this:
It can be once the older player reaches a certain age but it is no comparison to a 14 and 16 year difference.
So of course the younger player is at an advantage once the older player passes the threshold but still a 5 month 10 month difference is no compaison to a 14 or 16 year one.

Zverev and Taylor are 6 years older than Alcaraz but nobody talks about the age gap there lol. Djokovic and Murray beat Federer when he was still in his peak age
The age gap is only relevant when the older player is far past his prime and struggling with age-related injuries
