Djokovic has now completed tennis the way Messi completed football at the WC in 2022 as he is the only player to win:

- All four majors (3x)
- All nine Masters (2x)
- YEC (7x)
- And now an Olympic gold medal!

Some others have come close though:
- Nadal won all four majors (2x) and an Olympic gold but never won YEC, Miami or Bercy (12/15)
- Federer won all four majors, YEC (6x), but never won Olympic gold, Monte-Carlo or Rome (12/15)
- Agassi won all four majors, YEC, and an Olympic gold but never won Monte-Carlo or Hamburg (13/15)
- Lendl won 3/4 majors, YEC (5x), all nine Masters, but never won Wimbledon or an Olympic gold (13/15)
- Murray won 2/4 majors, YEC, and an Olympic gold medal (2x) but never won AO, Roland Garros, IW, or Monte-Carlo (11/15)

He was already the GOAT with two exclamation points. Now he is the GOAT with three exclamation points.
Remind me of Messi at the 2022 World Cup, he didn't "need" the WC to be the GOAT but since he won, his status became undeniable. Nole was already the GOAT as far back as probably late 2022, but this gold medal buried anything and everything

In my opinion, he was already the GOAT just based off the slams. I think slams matter the most.

I honestly think he’s crazy for playing Wimbledon and the Olympics on that knee. Maybe he knows something that we don’t. Sometimes injuries heal better when you’re bearing weight but playing Alvarez on a best of 5 at Wimbledon is a little extreme 3 weeks after surgery. Dude is crazy.

Dude is crazy.
Yes, GOATs in various endeavors are often crazy with their dreams and work ethic compared to conventional norms. That is why they don’t conform and end up making history. In other words, there is a fine line separating genius from madness.

He has done it all.

Just needs to break Court's record and stand alone at #25.
In the best of five sets, he is at a disadvantage against Sinner and Alcaraz, especially if he falls to third place (very likely) before the US Open and potentially has to face both.
He took advantage of the final format of the Olympic Games very well but in Major tournaments he will not have that privilege.

1 more major for the old man and he can surpass roger’s 103 titles too winning smaller titles! Happy days! :)

By the way did you enjoy the final? You seem a bit quiet on here after it! Hehe ;)

Correct me if i am wrong, but isn't he also the only one accross both genders, not just in ATP? I don't recall any woman in singles winning every one of those WTA equivalent to ATP masters 1000 titles, Tier-1/Premier Mandatory or whatever else they were called...did Graf ever do it or Serena? I don't think so...so he is the only one in singles to do it accross both genders then! That's really huge! Just like Graff holding exclusive rights on her Calendar Year Golden Slam yet, being the only one (man or woman) at that still...

yes but esp now since its easier to do it. the only reason djokovic didn’t is becuz of nerves which is understandable. its why alcarez lost to djokovic at the olympics
Lol yeah right.
Med had nothing to do with it and Djokovic played sub par at Olympics.
