Djokovic K-blade

Its an obvious question but, was he using a actual K-blade93?
It looks like an actual one.
Or is he using a LM radical pj like the speed pro he`s using?

No, he never used an actual K-Blade. He isn't using a LM Raidcal right now either. When he first used Head before the Wilson switch, he used a LM Radical Midplus, which was a newer version of the Pro Tour 660 mold (or it could have been the Trysis 260, can't remember). When he switched to Head, the racquet they gave him was the actual version of what he was using before and not the LM Radical, and they changed the frame's makeup to have a 51 flex. The Speed Pro is the mass-produced version of this frame, although the specs and material and all that is quite different.

Hope that helps.

Wilson developed a near clone of the Radical. I have an actual frame from Wilson's Pro Room. The string spacing is near identical to a Head Radical Tour and is completely different from a stock KBlade98.

Mary C mentioned the Novak racket change has really hurt his game. She says he has struggled since switching.

Looking at his record, I agree. Whatever Wilson was producing for him was working. What Head is forcing him to use is not. I doubt he will be in the top 10 by the end of the year. Watching him play today, his game has had to change to use the new racket. Big mistake on his part switching.

Head did the same thing to Fererro.

First off HEAD is not forcing Djokovic to use anything. Djokovic chose the MOLD, Layup, and specs of the racquet he is using. Just like he had previously.

Second, you have no consistency barry. You are contradicting yourself.
His results show when he switched from Wilson to Head, and then switched back to Wilson and started winning again.

Third, Haas Just switched to HEAD racquets and is doing very well with them. Haas is having a renaissance with his new equipment. What exactly is your problem with HEAD racquets?

As the others before me already said,he had never used kbalde 93,it was a custom mold made only for him.I have his actual wilson raquet up on my room's wall and definitely it's not a 93.If you serch the forum you could find pics that i've posted.

@psp2 : you're raquet looks identical to mines,I've two frames from Wilson Pro Room's with kblade98 pj and string pattern and beam looks identical to yours.
And when compared with Djoko's frame the mold is the same!
Have you played with it?how do you like it?

Tarie, psp2,

could you please provide us specifications for your Wilson Pro Room Kblade 98?

Weight, balance, swingweight? Is it 16x19 (as Chakvetadze or Dent have) or 18x20?

And also if there is any lead under bumper (if you lift it a little bit) or silicone in the handle similar as Head racquets from pro room are customized for top pros?

Yes,mines are :
303gr
303sw
60 Ra
32.7 cm balance

No silicone but there's a kind of solid foam inside the handle.
It's pretty light but the reason is that it is a basic model for personal customization.

I hit with the frame and found it a bit too light. It's weight is 11.7 oz. I didn't want to customize it. It played like a typical Radical.

Here are the specs:

333g/11.7oz.
32cm./7.5pts. HL
27" length

I think the SW was around 320 and RA of 64 or so.

Here is what I don't get. People say liquidmetal instinct, but all the liquidmetal instincts I see are 18 x 19. So unless there is an instinct that is 18 x 20 I do not know about, did novak actually use that model at one point?

Actually Originally Djokovic uesed the LM Radical MP when he was originally with HEAD.

Then Djokovic signed with Wilson and:
"People from Wilson company tried to make agreement with me for five years and they "catch me" now finally. I don't know the specification of our agreement, because we didn't ratify that still, but I know it's much better convention then I had with Head. I tried to play with 15-20 different models of Wilson and no one is conform to me. Then they made a copy of my Head racquet, and he is absolutely the same."

Now some people are making a big deal about Djokovic's move back to HEAD racquets. Djokovic is not using a real Speed Pro. Djokovic has not used a real Speed Pro in Tournamnet play in 2009.

It seems to me (looking at tapes from a couple years ago vs. say his Aussi Open win) that previous to using the Kblade paint job the Wilson racket he was using had a much rounder head - seems way rounder than the Head rackets of the time. Anyone have any info on this, or was it an optical illusion?

He used to use the nBlade 93 with a [K] Blade 93 paint job to advertise.

No such a thing exists.

He was using a Head LM Radical mold, painted like a Wilson. That's why the headshape is the way it is.

So there was no change in the actual Wilson-branded racket between the two paint jobs? Funny that the paint job would make the head shape appear different to me, though.
