Montblanc has very short history in watches (since 1997), so I guess this will not be an issue until Montblanc enters the same segment as Hublot when it comes to watches. Pedigree means everything in that segment. I don't think it would cause Montblanc any concern if Hublot started making expensive fountain pens f.inst. ;-)
Just as Lacoste doesn't seem too concerned that Djokovic is wearing Asics, even thought they prob could have engineered up something for him, given that Medvedev now is wearing their new "real" sports tennis shoe.
