We're not talking about winning here. I've never seen a person saying Gasquet plays an ugly game, quite the contrary people say how beautiful even his strokes alone. Maybe winning is all that matters for some top players but for people who are watching is a different story unless you're their family.

Well, if you can't see any excitement in some of the breathtaking rallies Djokovic and Murray have engaged in over the years, then I just feel profoundly sorry for you. That's all I can say!

I guarantee you that I will not watch the next Djokovic-Murray match.

Only Stan can save tennis. He's the only player that can worry Djokovic, aka T-1000 right now.

Is this the same Stan who was bagelled in final sets in two of their last three meetings (AO 15 SF and Bercy 2015 SF)? Stan can't save tennis. He is too inconsistent. He won the French Open. He beat Novak hands down, straight up. But, let's be honest, no one saw that coming. No one would have thought he could win the French Open, even if clay is his best surface. Hell, no one would have thought he could beat Federer in straight sets in the QF because he is just too inconsistent. One minute he is on, the next, as he put it during his SF match with Nadal in Bercy, he is "so f**king s**t!". I mean, a few weeks earlier, Federer totally demolished him in Rome.

Calling people not real tennis fans for not want to watch dull ping pong matches is pretty funny. Hey, we have to take care of our mental health here not to get into severe depression.
More and more I understand what a tennis player Federer is and what he has done for tennis. Such a finesse and beauty. When he retires its a very sad day for tennis.

You need to prise your head from out of Federer's backside. Can you imagine how boring it would be if everybody played the same way he does? Federer plays stylish tennis but his is not the only style. We all have our favourites but until you develop a broader and more nuanced respect for the different ways top players play tennis then you will never be a true fan as far as I am concerned.

It was tennis and F1 for us. I had my own son which is 5 now on private coaching in Wimbledon when I lived there. I have close family member being pro player. Im not an average tennis fan like most in here seems that are fanboys. Ive played myself as long as I can remember, but unfortunately a knee injury made me stop being competitive when I was 18. I have taken Federer for granted really, I have never been a fan of any player or involved in any fan thing. In matches o normally go for the underdog.

I just get frustrated when someone says Players A and B are the only ones who can play and Players C and D can't. Now you may prefer watching Players A and B but if Players C and D have also achieved then you have to respect them too!

I have decided I want to praise Federer as much as possible until he retire. I have never been this silly federer fan calling him the maestro and such. But when he came pro he was then the savior of tennis. I haven't really until last year really grasped the massive influence and the job he has done so people get interested in tennis. He is a fantastic ambassador for the sport. His style of play is special.
I have nothing against Andy at all and I hope gets some more slams. Him winning Wimbledon is the greatest achievement any player has done when it comes to getting a majors trophy, the insane pressure he was under no one can really understand. It was one of the happiest days in my life when he got it(I know, I'm pathetic). I lived in Wimbledon at that time and the whole thing was amazing.
People in here are over sensitive and literally paranoid and judgmental because they are so obsessed about "their" player. Some in here talks about Novaks kid w the first name, even know the name of the son! Its so weird for me, Ive never hung out with fans of specific players. Rather silly.
