Quality wise i rate this higher than W08 final. It was so tightly contested for 4+ hours - I can't imagine how both players managed to sustain the level throughout without any concentration lapse or mental letdown.
I think only 2013 Delpo Djokovic , 2007 Fedal are as good as that match.

Djokovic serving at 7-7 in 5th and was facing 15-40. First a service winner, second point could have gone anywhere but Nadal rushed to net and Djoker made a perfect forehand pass.
Those were virtual match points

Ultimately Nadal was exhausted and throw away at 8-9

Djokovic had to make another forehand pass to save mp in w 2019 final.

Perfect forehand pass saved the day

Almost identical shots to save those MPs.

This de facto final was so much sweeter to me in that it was Rafa's first real Wimbledon run (good enough to win the tourney) in 7 years, and also Novak heralding his return to the top after what seemed like a mysterious two-year slump. Level of play was amazing - and what tennis needed after the Isner-Anderson serve-athon..

It's ranked in the 12-16 region.
I watched it with a very casual fan. He played tennis as a kid and watched Becker, etc.
He watched it with me and kept saying how amazing it was and how much the game improved.
I spat my coffee but just nodded and smiled politely. I did not want to disillusion him.
