The weird part is, the next tournament is just a week away! I have absolutley no clue what Novak's plan will be
Don't think he'll be mentally ready to do well in the clay season

Don't think he will play tbh... Also don't forget that ATP could still decide to suspend him for a certain period of time. It's in their prerogatives.

It’ll be overkill if they suspend him. He was defaulted and forfeited his prize money. That’s enough.

I think he’ll play. He’ll have that aggression and might go HAM in Rome.

I hope either one of Thiem or Med (jeez or even Zeverev) wins the title. I don’t feel right with anyone else winning it. At least with the former two, theyve knocked on the door of a major before, especially Thiem. I think I would prefer Med. Other than going too fast once, he’s been on his best behavior.

Machi ... not again! Her job is to possess enough reflexes to dodge balls in play. Was the ball in play when Djokovic hit it toward her? Why are you judging her based on something Djokovic shouldn't have done and was wrong in doing it?
1. First of all I am totally with US Open here and feel that the decision to Default Djokovic is TOTALLY CORRECT .

2. Ofcourse it is just my opinion , and it might be correct or incorrect too .
But my opinion is , Ball kids and LinesPerson need quick reflexes to dodge balls .

And my opinion is also based on their safety , I have watched the video 20 times and clearly can say that any person of age 20 - 30 would have dodged the ball. She didn't even move 1 centimeter .
Just notice how People in their 20s and 30s move on tennis courts , they have quick reflexes .

3. What if the ball hurt her eyes , what if it would have caused permanent damage to her eyes ? Young person can easily dodge ball .
Comeon , If you played cricket wid tennis ball You would know Umpire is mostly agile and have quick reflex action . They are examined on their fitness too .

Also talking about 100 kilometers per hour , You should definately know at what speed shoaid akhtar and and Brett Lee bowls .
If you play on any ground of India wid tennis balls , you always get hit by tennis balls at the speed of 50-100 kms per hour too depends on the speed of bowler .
Noone falls on ground by getting hit by tennis ball , Ofcourse it hurts a bit but people doesn't fall .

This lady is too old and she fell down unfortunately .

You are the first and ONLY person to use the word INSULT in this Episode .
Even the worst Djokovic haters didn't used the word INSULT .
I have read few articles and they didn't used the word INSULT .
well done hahahaha :-D :-D :-D

And yeah , Noone falls on ground every being hit by tennis ball . Lol

Celebrating Racist Bigot White Supremacist Broadcasters is not an act to be respected either , anyways Bye .

hahaha:D:D
If you don’t know (what seems to be...) your own mother language, then I really don’t know what to tell you. You do have internet, obviously, so maybe it’s not the worst idea to use it for something useful and broaden your vocabulary.

Yeah, nothing we can do but look ahead to clay season and hope that Djokovic can recoup and play his best tennis there. I'd love to see him win RG... ;)

Machan I'm a 50 something year old driving down the street. I have a green and start to move. Meanwhile you're a 20 something young man who fails to notice you have a red. You run your red light and hit me. Sure you can go before the judge and say if the guy I hit had been younger, his better reflexes would have helped us both prevent a crash. What chance do you think you'll have?

You have already admitted that the referee was right in defaulting Djokovic. So these arguments are of little value. Considerable damage has been done and Djokovic next heads to where the Everest of all tennis challenges will be awaiting, a certain Spaniard.

What made it worse was the woman started screaming and gasping for breath, whether it was pure overacting, although doesnt look like so,or not...

Maybe if he hit a 20 something guy he would have brushed off and we would have talked about how he got through in a tough 4 setter against Busta..
If she got hit into thyroid cartilage (appeared to be the case) then it would be superhuman not to react the way she did. Martial arts technique for paralyzing the opponent.

I'm concerned about Nole's mental health, there's only so much vitriol a person can take. Hope he comes back stronger as before. I may be biased as a fan, but I'm suspicious about his disqualification and trust him on other things. I'm also suspect about the political state of tennis.
Stick together #NoleFam.
Bye : )
Yes,its like almost how they write the script of this...I am sure with all the PATP stuff going on,they just wanted to nail him..

Although he has won 3 US open till now and not bad at all..But this is a cursed slam for him..something or other just happens to him on this..2016,got injured and pysched out,

Stupid losses to Murray,Nadal and Nishikori,2019 got injured again...And now this...Cursed slam for him..Atleast French Open always had good vibes for him..Although he hasn't won there much..lolz

What are the possibilities/permutations here, folks?
Can you clarify on the points? Will he still - under the new Covid-affected policy - get credit for last year's points at the US Open...as would those who played last year, but not this year?
I don't follow the rules of the points for this year. Not sure what the effects of this DQ has on YE #1. Maybe @TripleATeam or @Enceladus can shine a light.

No points penalty for 2019, so presumably his points will be unaffected in the USO. I'll do a more comprehensive breakdown soon, but YE#1 pretty much rests on WTF, and he's got a decent cushion. If he wins RG it's over.

My understanding is Novak won't have any points from USO.

I'm so mad that Fed isn't playing. The amount of salty tears when he held the trophy up could have saved California from the fires

Unless you’ve got some funky unproven theory I’m not...then I guess I am .)
Ball grazes her on the neck or on the chin. She barely notices it but then thinks to herself - "who does this idiot thins he is, hitting me with his damn ball." "You're out, mister." Then aloud: "Ouch" "Ouch" then thinks to herself - "No damnit, I'm supposed to be choking!" aloud - "khh, khhh, khhh"

I think I’m still in shock at how Novak messed this up. It defies belief. I’m still kind of in shock I think.
I went from "what just happened?" to "I can't believe this happened!" to disappointed, to angry/upset at Novak. I'm still in the anger stage, I think. Why did it have to happen here, of all places? At least we can take solace in the fact there were no fans in the stadium. Could you image what it would've been like? USO 2015 would pale in comparison.

Of course, because the most complicated scenario is always the most probable one, no?

I obviously jest when I'm writing her thought process.

However, it occurred to me that your theory has a big hole and that's initial vocalization of the suffering sounds. :D

For me the streak continue until someone defeat him on the court.
For me too.
But it doesn't matter anymore. The important thing is to focus on tennis, that he has mental control and that he stops being irritated on the court. Maybe Djokovic may surprise and win the Roland Garros tournament!

Lines Karen is some millions richer now. Novak gave her the best retirement present she ever could expect.
