I wonder whether in a parallel universe that happened and he won.I blame the blue shirt, he should have put on the white shirt sooner to turn things around.
I looked into it a bit further... Seems we are both right:The word is pronouced Molodets, which means Well done or Good job. I use this word often, when I train Russian speaking clients in the gym.
Good for him but I think he should take the rest of the year off. Novak must be terribly disappointed, it will take some getting over.Novak in Belgrade, Serbia, with racket in his hands and smiling, two days after that historic and heartbreaking match.
Stay strong Nole, it was a great season, that is still not ever and glory and YE#1 yet await.
That’s not how Novak thinks. He gets over losses quickly.Good for him but I think he should take the rest of the year off. Novak must be terribly disappointed, it will take some getting over.
You can tell Nole loves playing for his country. The passion and intensity he shows in both single and mixed double is almost palpable. The guy is desperate to bring home medals.
Serbians are quite lucky to have a top athlete that passionate about his country and representing it.
Each to their own I suppose. That’s not how Novak thinks. He gets over losses quickly.
Imagine going back in time to after RG 2020 and saying "bruh next year you'll be so disappointed cause he doesn't win the CYGS".A few days late but got to say, so proud of him. Obviously prior to the final I was picturing a best case scenario, but this is the next best one. Several comebacks, fighting constantly, winning more people over than ever. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of pressure he was under since Wimbledon, glad that's something he won't be going through again. Remarkable what he's done this season especially after all the crap that happened in 2020 post covid break. Can't wait to watch him again as he should be more loosened up going forward. And hopefully last Sunday was just a small delay as far as the totals are concerned...
No reason he doesn't play IW, Paris, and WTF. He won the most or next to the most in all three events. Hope he finishes 2021 strong with a YE#1.Imagine going back in time to after RG 2020 and saying "bruh next year you'll be so disappointed cause he doesn't win the CYGS".
Huge loss obviously, but still an amazing year and I don't really doubt Djokovic can back from this one. I don't think he should take a huge amount of time off cause that basically only makes the loss bigger.
I think he skips IW, plays Paris as a tune up for ATP Finals.Any news on his schedule until the end of the year?
Will he play IW?(I hope he will)
There's only so much you can do with the media presence. Also what you're saying and what's going inside your head are 2 completely different things. Nadal failed at getting DCGS (l. to Wawrinka, Federer and Djokovic) and NCYGS as well (l. to Ferrer), so I don't think it's worth mentioning him without getting results. I think that being nervous in some moments, especially at the start of the match is pretty normal for Novak in the finals. Happened more often than not (2011, W'18, AO'16, AO'19 and AO'21 were the best from him for sure). Pretty much everything was going wrong for him in New York this year though. CYGS pressure, bad draw, almost 17 hrs spent on court before the final and fresh Medvedevbot who almost didn't face a top 20 player and was obviously in a great form and ready to rally. I was surprised that "outlasting the opponent" approach was working so well thus far, but it felt like he really needed too much time to get into rhythm each match. Daniil did a great job, especially with his serve in the first set and managed to do just enough to keep it in the second. That set would be massive for Novak, but there's no point in thinking about it now. Had it been closer on the board like all of those 2012-2014 loses I would be worried, but now that all of that CYGS talk is off we can go back to one slam at a time. This time he should have taken a queue from Nadal or Mourinho.Look at how Nadal downplays any important match. he says it just another normal game, keeps his cerebral bearings on the ground. Even Mourinho downplayed his 1000th match in charge like a crime and then ran like a child when he actually won it. Thats the way to do it.. Novak was approaching it all wrong. Was nervous even in French Open, against Nadal, tsisipas but luckily he got in his rhtym soon. Was so nervous against Berretini in Wimbledon too. This time it became a bridge too far. But even in the final, if he had got on board in the final in the first game, it could have been different and even if he gotten a break in the 2nd set, he would have won in 4. But not meant to be.
Any news on his schedule until the end of the year?

No.Is Djokovic going to play the IW?
No.
Paris, Turin and maybe Davis Cup. That all there is for this season.
Looks like this is going along the lines of 2016 & 2019 .
Novak will have to work too hard in the end to finish as Seventh Year End No1 ,if he skips IW .
He should try to secure this Unique record , why isn't he serious about this ?
It wasn’t Meddy’s fault that guys who potentially could have troubled him were knocked out before they got to him.It was both. Afterward Novak himself said that his legs weren't all there. He had the far harder draw, spent 5+ more hours on court than Medvedev and ran a dozen miles more in his matches. Add the pressure of winning a Grand Slam, which clearly affected Novak's nerves, and all credit to Medvedev for playing really well and very strategically, and you get Djokovic losing in straights.

Although its not confirmed yet that he skips IW, but looks he is..
This season again he is becoming lax come the end of the season, worked hard the whole season now he is chilling and he may lose the seventh YE1, Wonder why he has this knack of kicking feet. He needs to clean up, finish the task.
Well, he better let the IW organisers know soon as he is still listed as playing there.Although its not confirmed yet that he skips IW, but looks he is..

The fact that the sport is long past him only describes a state of affairs in which the class and composure of what tennis embodied has passed on to tennis brats and tantrums. This is exactly what he has a right to decry. Pity that more don’t understand it. Btw I’m not old but the greatest thing tennis can provide a young person is a lesson in how to take lumps and how to win. It’s character. Emerson has more than a right here; when you know more and stand for more than someone else it could be said you have an obligation to speakThe guy is 74 years old. The sport is long past him. He's being critical of Djokovic because Djokovic isn't some 2 faced robot like the other guys who act nice when winning but then make a hell of a lot of excuses when losing.
Probably, especially since like I said they didn't post it on IG and twitter like all other announcements (more likely that they made a mistake on 1 platform than on 2).He isn't playing IW lol. He isn't moving anywhere from Europe until the start of the next season.
Not letting 7th YE#1, I love it. Great news, would be a shame!
I thought he was going to kosovo for 2-3 weeks
There are two weeks between IW and Paris. Maybe then. Or if he wins IW he might skip Paris altogether and just play WTF.I thought he was going to kosovo for 2-3 weeks
