Djokovic not knowing where Murray is

Just read this article below where Djokovic is saying he doesn't know where Murray is and that he is being coached by his brother in Monte Carlo.

Is he finally realising what all of us suspected? That Murray has nothing to teach him ?

Clickbait of course. As Djokovic said it was never part of the agreed schedule for Murray to be in Monte Carlo.

Really ? For masters series ? Especially, when Djokovic has not been playing that many tourneys?

Djokovic is a part-time player these days and so he has a part-time coach. So far zero title results this year for these two part-timers.
It doesn't make sense for his coach not to be at his side during a pivotal masters tourney, and Murray will automatically be part time if Djokovic is, so makes even less sense to be on his own part time schedule, especially since they are still acclimating to each other

C’est fini! He knows it, Murray knows it too!

Murray is his employee. Whatever they agreed on was accepted by both parties, otherwise Djokovic wouldn't hire him in the first place. If Djokovic was looking for a coach to be with him every tournament he is at then he would have hired someone else. Obviously this is fine for Djokovic.

Again, this is not every tournament, it's one of the most important master series on clay.

And we don't know if this was an agreement from way before or a more recent development based on results and other dynamics developing between them.

It's hard to conclude that this arrangement is really working for them and Murray missing from MC may just the the offramp they both need to end this without any major drama.

Yes, he DID realize this.

Unfortunately, he then immediately “realized” his brother is who he needs to learn from.

Yup, that's insane.

Really hope he somehow wins the 25th slam and hangs it up .

Hard to see these legends fall off a cliff in a short time.

Does Kim know where Murray is? It doesn’t matter whether Djokovic knows where he is if they both agreed he is not working this week.

Clickbait article and a clickbait thread.

Murray is not with him in Monte Carlo because it was not in their agreed-upon schedule. So his brother will be coaching him this time.

5 finals in 15 years hardly makes him a clay monster.

Hardly makes him a clay failure either considering he won 2 big ones (Madrid, Rome) and made the final of the biggest which some ATGs failed to do (eg. Sampras, Becker). Murray came late to clay because he never took it seriously in the early years of his career preferring to focus on hardcourts and grass. After he had accomplished much on those 2 surfaces he eventually realised he needed to focus on the 3rd one if he wanted to establish himself as an all-court player. He didn't do too badly.

Why stop after the 25th? If he can get away with it, he should keep on shooting for more.
I was actually hoping he’d have stopped at 19. That was a perfect time to realize he’d accomplished all his goals.

You could tell it really was the best moment. It’s been downhill since then.

You're speaking about Novak or yourself?

Yup, because that's the type of help he needed from a guy he dominated, how to improve his technical game on certain surfaces.
What exactly do you think Murray is helping him with? I wonder as he has zero experience as a coach, worser technique than Djokovic on many shots, played more passive one-dimensional tactics for most of his career compared to Djokovic who hired a stats analyst (CraigO) for many years to develop specific gameplans etc. Maybe they are working on improving the overhead for three months!

Where Murray at?

Definitely not with the technical aspect. I think it's more game strategy. Spotting weaknesses in opponent during match, giving some perspective that Djokovic may miss in the heat of the moment and encouragement. I believe Djokivic himself said as much.

But hey I am not the one recommending Murray to him, I personally think it's pointless anyway.

The people posting messages in this forum want to know one thing. Where are you going tonight, Andy? Somewhere warm? You going to Tahiti? Where are you going tonight, Andy?
